Stonepoint Clamp Grow Kit

This gets hot enough that I can't hold my finger on it, so I'd be a little leery of putting this over plants that might grow close enough to touch it. The neck is very solid and hasn't "sagged" from the position I originally put it in. I ended up cutting off the tacky glitter band that came attached to the clamp and wish that it didn't have such a tacky logo on the lamp itself, but whatever. My plants are happy, so I'm happy.

Do not use the USB adapter-- buy one that actually is constructed properly! During the first use, the circuitry in the adapter separated from the outlet prongs and we had to turn off the circuit at the breaker to remove the prongs from the outlet.The light itself seems to be higher quality, but because of the adapter issue, we are not comfortable leaving it plugged in when we are not around.

Good little lamp, I use it all the time on my desk. It keeps a small potted plant going, but the light is weird and may make your eyes hurt. The plants also grow differently under the light since its not a strong natural light. They do ok but they just get kind of weird looking

Purchased four of these a while ago. They work well. I have them hooked up to a timer that also runs the aquarium lights.Pros: Grow plants well. I use these to grow pothos and lilies in my aquarium to help with nitrates.Cons: wish they came with a weighted base instead of a clip

I'm using for some indoor plants because I have no sunlight. They seem to like them...I have the clip hooked up to a metal stand but I find that it tends to fall over a bit so it's kind of leaning on the stand to hold it up. Works though

I moved to an apartment that got very little light so i purchased 2 of these. The first broke within days, I've not had a chance to return it, the light would not come on.The 2nd one was the one I continued to use, placed it close to the ceiling and it burnt every plant I have...The buds on my bonsai were burnt and all the leaves fell off, the buds on my orchids were burnt to a crisp. My hyacinth's flowers were also toasted. The closest one to the light (about 4 feet) was an aloe plant that's now wilting.Needless to say I'm very upset...Even if I could get a refund for theses lights, Amazon wouldn't replace my plants!

I now have twenty two (22) of these in a small apartment with few windows, after having moved here from a split-level home that received much direct and some reflected light. Although my choice of plants has been, by necessity, altered, these two-level, switchable, 8-watt grow lights are fabulous. the clamps are particularly sturdy and well padded, in case you opt to mount on a glass shelf, etc.
