Man, talk about heat resistant, I put a Mapp Gas torch to these wires and while burnt at first, they were like some sort of electron carrying Wolverine, healing right in front of my eyes! Talk about value for the money! And so easy to use!

pretty useless to me, I didnt read deep enough and this is solid wire, cant use it in my app, doesnt mean SOLID doesnt work for yours..

I love using solid core for bread board prototyping and this wire works very well. The amount of cable is also really nice and it will probably last me a couple years. Its also very easy to strip (in a good way) with quality wire strippers. The box is kinda jank but it works to keep the wire spooled.

After buying a few single 25' spools of 24AWG "hook up" wire and going through them pretty quickly, I decided I should save a little money by getting a larger quantity, but without committing to a really huge spool. This item fit that bill perfectly. Five spools with more than 32' each; neat/tidy dispenser box; good price. The gauge rating is legit, and the wire is perfect for typical circuitboard uses. Insulation colors don't matter to me, as all my uses are hidden in enclosures, and I'm the only one who needs to know what the colors represent, if anything.The only negative I would mention is that the insulation is PVC, and quickly starts to melt if you hold your iron on the solder point even *slightly* too long. Rubber or silicone insulation is much better in this respect, but doesn't seem to be available on anything but stranded wire in this gauge, which isn't a good choice for circuitboard apps ... c'est la vie.

Nice quality kit. Wire is good quality, with good insulation and is packaged very conveniently.
