total waste of money. I learned nothing about soundproofing my home. Disappointed in amazon for selling this nothing book

The description alone tells you everything you need to know before making this purchase. My guess is this book was not written for people living in the States.

Don't waste money. Book mostly contains very obvious stuff, like "the best way to solve noise issues is not to live in a noisy flat", or "buy a detached house or top-floor condo to minimize noise".No concrete examples of how to do sound insulation. "there are 100 different ways to soundproof the floor" and that's it.There were two useful things though: 1. sound may escape into holes/cavities, so when you're soundproofing, it's important to make sure they are all sealed 2. there is a useful noise checklist for property buyers
