I love the speed and cleanliness of using ESE pods, instead of grinding and measuring, and emptying messy ground espresso. I’m especially pleased at the rich taste and low-acid constant of this espresso. Very smooth.

Nothing wrong with this as long as you keep your expectations in line.Makes a solid rich shot that you can blend down with an equal amount of foam and hot milk to make a great afternoon/ evening capp (just don't tell the Italians that you put milk in your coffee after 11).I'm an espresso addict, if it weren't for the head exploding levels of caffeination that my brain reaches after too many shots, I'd keep drinking them. In these ESE pods I've found a very good tasting coffee for that late afternoon coffee that I crave, without the exploding head syndrome. I do notice a slight uptick in heart rate post-shot so they do have a tiny amount of caffeine in them. I can taste from a mile away that it's a pod, but I'd be hard pressed to tell you that it's decaf just based on the flavor. It's pretty darned good. Has a caramelly/ nutty/ chocolate flavor reminiscent of the Illy medium roast ESE pods. Roast level is full city I'd say, just at or slightly past first crack. No burned flavor, no Char-Bucks. Nice coffee, not at all sour, with a nice clean aftertaste. Brewing it with the special ESE portafilter basket.7.5 gram pack so a 12-15 ml single shot is just about right. It runs pretty fast though, it's about a 10 second shot at 9 bar. Thin crema, enough for some basic latte art if that's your thing. Solid price, great value.

The pods in this brand of Baronet Coffee pods are smaller and so do not soak well in my brand of Hamilton coffee pod coffee maker. The pods also are not labeled as to which side should be up or face down toward the cup. Thus, the coffee delivered is very weak and tasteless even though the brand is an espresso coffee. Also, I always use two pods to have a full-strength strong coffee tasting cup. I am disappointed.

It might not be my best tasting coffee, a matter of personal taste, still it is a good quality good tasting product. Also a matter of personal preference, I find it a bit acid.The key to a good coffee remains its freshness, and I cannot compare ESE to my usual freshly ground beans.Using Pete's One thing seemed strange I couldn't find an expiry date on the package.Overall it is comparable to Starbucks Kfee pods, at a better price.

Coffee is excellent 5 stars, the only complaint is thatI don't know why when doing the espresso it tend to splash all over the place, maybe is the ese pod is to small because ot doesnt happened with other brands

I'd never seen ESE pods from a US company before. These are pretty darn good! I've been an Illy Intenso drinker, the taste from these is different, but just as good--and their price is significantly lower. Nice crema, and a slight bite that makes it good as an espresso or as a base for a cappuccino. These pods do not have tabs, not a problem, just makes it a very little bit more difficult to dispose of the pod.

First, I love the convenience of ESE pods. The robust taste comes pleasantly to the front in a latte. A straight shot will wake up even the slowest morning.

I like a lot of different Espresso styles... The corner shop, Illy, Peets and Starbucks all have their charms. Besides You can hide a lot of sin in a Latte. This just drew a very bland/weak shot. It came our of the La Gaggia classic blonding from the get go. The espresso was disappointing and after trying to "fix" it with steamed milk it was pathetically weak.... adding another shot of bad espresso to milk can sometime make it drinkable... not so the case here. You might like this if you prefer coffee to espresso I guess, or maybe if you dont like espresso you might like it.
