Oak Grove Smokehouse Gumbo Base (5 Pack of 5 Ounce Bags)

I use to make my gumbo from scratch. I tried Oak Grove Smokehouse one time when I was in a hurry and have never gone back to making it from scratch. I add a few of my own ingredients such as red pepper and celery but that’s it. It tastes great.

When you're in a pinch and don't have time to make your own roux (because you know it's a long process), this works wonderfully. I add the holy trinity to the mix as well to give it that extra flavor I desire but it is amaingly good and I get nothing but rave reviews on my gumbo. Believe this Creole girl, you won't be disappointed.

We have been using this for years as a quick and easy base of our Gumbo. Huge time saver.

It is not exactly like homemade but very close and great to be able to have a nice bowl of gumbo with very little prep

Great product! If you want to make a real LOUISIANNA style gumbo use this product!!!!!! IT WORKS GREAT! I ALSO USE IT FOR STEWS! I'M FROM THE BAYOU SO I KNOW A GOOD GUMBO WHEN I TASTE ONE!

Love, love this gumbo mix. Excellent flavor and easy to make. I use chicken and beef sausage in mine and make my own rice to eat with gumbo.
