I was somewhat put off with the sweetness of the flavor, but honestly, I couldn’t stop eating them once I did. Texture is more moisturizer than some beef jerkies, but it was freaking so good that I don’t want to talk ill about it, as I really did enjoy it a lot. But also it was a lot of product, which was also a welcome surprise!!!

First of all, I love hot foods. This product claims to be hot, but honestly it has about the heat of a banana pepper. Secondly, the texture is ok, but it needs a little refining. Finally, and this is the most important part, the flavor is somewhere between sickly-sweet licorice and the crusty stuff on the bottom of your feet. It's putrid, plain and simple. Way too much sugar, and the licorice was just a bad idea. Keep it simple: red pepper flakes, garlic, onion, msg, salt (this is a big one, and sorely lacking in this product), and seriously tone down the sugar. If your base needs much more than that to be palatable, you need to think about changing your base.Now, to be fair, maybe the flavor profile of this product is popular in Taiwan, but I'm in the US, and here, I don't see it being a hit. I know I won't be buying it again...

First of all I actually like the texture. It's chewy and stringy like real beef jerky is. The bag is also HUGE compared to the American brands. It's actually twice the size. The taste is just too sweet. There's too much sugar and also not a fan of the licorice flavor either which is listed as one of the ingredients. I think if they made a black pepper flavor and eases up a lot on the sugar, it would be perfect. If you like really sweet vegetarian jerky, I would try it. If you prefer the salty vegetarian jerky like myself, I would skip this one.

im coming back to buy more. This is possibly the best jerky ive ever tasted, i do not regret buying this. i want more.

I found out these were mushrooms and the first bag was delicious. The second bag of same tasted rancid so threw away.

I wish I could give this zero stars. I wish I could send it back because that’s how horrible this stuff is. Don’t buy it because you cannot return it and you’ll regret even spending $7 on this. Just looking out for anyone who happens to read this review.Texture is dry but still has some moisture in it. The flavor is just outright nasty and there is an odd aftertaste. Idk if my bag went bad but the immediate odor is just rancid. I didn’t want to just say I hate it without an explanation. I love vegetarian jerky and I’ve tried quite a few brands.—just don’t buy this!Also, if someone can not guarantee the products quality, I feel like amazon should intervene but I don’t want to waste another minute thinking about this product.Bottom line. Don’t buy it. If you do, I told you so.
