I was a complete klutz as a yo-yoer when I was a child. I could get it it to ‘sleep’ — no problem; in fact it automatically ‘slept’ every time I tried to play with one. The problem was trying to get it to wake up again! Not so with this. I felt like a yo-yo pro!These modern kinds seem to be weighted cleverly to return to the hand without any real skill being needed. You can still do tricks with one, as my son demonstrated. (Well, you might be able to; I need a bit more practice. Or maybe skill.)You may have to take it apart (dead easy) when it arrives to make sure the string is firmly attached. But after that it’s, er, child’s play. Even my 3-year old granddaughter, for whom it was actually bought to play with on holiday, was able to make it work once I’d shortened the string (originally too long for her height). Except she wasn’t getting much of a look in by her father and aunt and uncle and cousin and mother and other aunt (and me, too!) — all wanting to have a go.Just as well I anticipated that and bought three more for them!Great fun for all ages!

Does what a yo-yo does, well !

I bought this as a stocking filler for grandson. Looked ok but the string just went round on central spool so you couldn’t yo yo, also lights didn’t work. Very lightweight poor quality, very disappointing!

I bought this gift for my son he loves it and it’s easy to use however I bought this specificYo-yo for its light up features and the lights are faulty on this item

Not very good. String is rubbish. Grandson don't even play with it....wasn't value for money. Rubbish
