This has become my prized set of mini tools. Have opened everything from laptops to phones and to monitors. Comes with all the right bits and all quality madez there has been no shredding or breaking of the metal. They just keep working.

Nice bit set

I bought this as a present for my dad, he's been after a compact precision tool kit for small items around the house. I already knew of Ifixit but didn't know they had smaller kits like this available so I was rather happy. The kit is very compact, screwdriver handle well made and a good amount of bit's available for most small items found around the house, something every dad should have!

Great bit of kit for the price as the bits are the same as what are supplied with the more expensive kits. Only differences are the number of bits - but the supplied ones cover 99% of fixings that most will come across & need a precision driver for - & a-something else to bear in mind is that the driver handle is made of plastic rather than aluminium which are supplied in the more expensive kits. This is the only drawback for longevity. I have a couple of Manta kits for daily use with aluminium driver handles & this smaller pocket sized kit is handy to put in a bag or keep in the car for the odd case that you may need a precision driver set when out & about. If the driver handle was aluminium, then it would get a 5/5* review, but have to remove a star because of this. Aluminium driver handles are available to buy on their own but they cost more than this kit does, so if thinking of doing that you would be better off buying a larger kit & savng some money along with getting more bits (obviously unless you don;t mind spending more as you just need a precsion kit that fits in most trouser/jacket pockets). Everything else is your standard iFixit quality & design with the lid being perfect for holding any screws removed, along with organising roughly where they came from out of the device due to the embossed raised grid lines in the lid. The magnets hold the lid on securely enough for carrying around in a pocket but if dropped may seperate from the base - but that is to be expected without physical catches to hold closed. Also included was an iFixit logo sticker to stick onto the surface of your choosing such as toolbox or computer case (if you like that sort of thing). Highly recommended.

These cost a little more than the cheap brands but they are much better made. The case lid is held in place magnetically and is satisfy to to click on and off! The bits fit snuggly into a foam liner. In use the bits are strong and effective and the screwdriver handle is magnetic so the bits stay in place. I've been using IFIXIT for years for advice and so I bought this to give something back and support the site. I highly recommend these.

They’re fine, not too helpful for PC building though.

Bought a cheaper set with more tools included. Waste of time. Pozi tips rounded after removing two screws etc. Bit the bullet and went for iFixIt. Wish I'd done this first. Good tools. Well made. Nicely stored. What's not to like? Recommened. Very much so.

I was surprised how good the quality of this tool set is and am confident it will last for many years with the occasional use it will get from me. Good selection of bits, great case with magnetic lid (no more cheap broken hinges) and each bit held in place with a high density foam material that holds the bits well and makes for easy access. Plus there’s room inside the handle for a few bits of you want to store them there. Overall a real nice set.

If you need a precision screw bits look no further. The kit comes in standard bit sizes so you can use them with other grips. Unlike those cheap screw bits made from cheap alloy that break easily, these are made from hardened steel. Do yourself a favor and get these instead.
