Excellent size and beautiful wood
Wow. Beautiful piece of wood. Excellent shape. I ordered a small and it’s seems like it’s more like a medium. Nice size for the price. I boiled for about three hours. Empty the water and fill again to a boil. No issues with releasing tannins once I put in the water. Sank right away. Couldn’t be happier with this purchase.

Perfect piece!
I ordered the medium piece and it was perfect for my new 5 gallon aquarium. I loved how it was a stump with roots. I can't wait to see how it looks as the aquarium matures. Very happy with this piece. I did boil it for 3 hrs and then soaked it in water for two more days after. It leeched some tannins but not a lot. Update: I bought a second piece of wood and love it even more than the first. It looks so cool and I can't wait for it to mature. I got a medium piece for a new 3 gallon aquarium. It is a bit large but the shape worked out in my favor. I'm keeping micro fish and shrimp, so they still have a lot of space. This piece I boiled for about an hour and then changed the water and let sit for 24 hrs. I changed the water again and let sit for another 24 hrs. The piece sunk and is barely leeching tannins.

Beautiful things come at a cost
The log is beautiful and even though I soaked it for half a day before putting it in, I have had to remove half of the water twice bc the log turns it brown. Like tea brown. Plus, the log floats, which is understandable, it is wood, but it’s for a fish tank! I can’t have my fish tank log floating. I had to sandwich it in to keep it down. 🤦🏼♀️ Overall, if you can deal with all the water changed due to whatever dye they put on this thing bleeding off and the floating issue, it’s a beautiful piece of wood. Update! Not only did this log never stop turning my fish tank into a brown tea color but is also started to break down. It got this thick coat of fuzz on it, and nothing else in the tank had that fuzz. After I took it out the tank was fine. No fuzz to be seen. I asked a local pet store why they think it turned fuzzy and they said it sounded like it was breaking down the wood. Idk but between the constant water color changes and fuzziness, I couldn’t do it anymore.

Likely Mopani-type wood — long-lasting tannins even after prep
Beautiful piece of driftwood and my betta absolutely loves it, but I wanted to share my experience for expectation-setting. The listing doesn’t specify the type of wood, and after researching, this seems closer to Mopani/Malaysian driftwood, which can release heavy tannins. I boiled it multiple times and soaked it for 3 weeks before adding it to my tank, but even after 3 months (with regular water changes and adding Purigen to try to help lighten it ), my water is still very dark. Photos between before and after Purigen. I want to get shrimp but at this point I don’t know if I’d be able to see them… my betta luckily is while / irredentist. I’m not knocking tannins—they can be beneficial—but this piece releases a LOT more than expected and for much longer. Based on reviews, it seems like there may be variation between pieces. ⭐️ Pros: beautiful, natural look; fish love it, great price ⚠️ Cons: heavy, long-lasting tannin release; wood type not clearly specified 4 stars because it’s a great piece, but I wish the listing better explained what to expect

A pleasant surprise
I love it! I expected a little fingerling piece of wood that would probably be a little underwhelming in appearance, but good enough to anchor some moss. That's..uh, not what i got. This is a solid piece the size of my whole face. Lots of drama and great hides and way, way too big for the intended tank. Luckily, I've got a 10 gallon tank that it will suit perfectly. I've never been so pleased to get something i can't use for the purpose it was purchased before. It's beautiful. The only problem here is my interpretation of 'small'.

Will buy again
I don’t know that you need to boil the logs for some time. I placed directly into tank and within hours the water was a maroon color. My mistake. Soaked and boiled, and water issue solved. Great size for all tanks. My shrimp like the log. Great value for a stick I guess. Log has some great girth to it. So I know it’s of quality. It’s a good thick brown log for all to enjoy. Clarity and detail of this log are fantastic.

Great Purchase!
Bigger than expected and a beautiful addition to my tank! I attached some java moss to it. The small is a good size and perfect for my betta tank. I boiled it for about 2 hours, draining the water 4 times and had no issue with tinted water or buoyancy.

Good product! Must boil before use.
Good product. But you definitely need to boil the heck out of it before using in a tank. I boiled mine for around 6 hours and changed the water multiple times. Then tested letting it sit in room temp water before putting it in my tank and it was good to go. Also before I boiled the driftwood floated but after one round of boiling it sunk like it's supposed to.
