I bought this in 2017 also because I had no heat in my car (I still don't). It is soft, quality, worked beautifully for years, has a cord that's long enough. I did something to it and it quit working. I bought another one and it barely warms. I had to search to find a warm spot and it was weak. I had no idea this one would still be for sale. I'm returning the other one and buying this one. Stay warm!!

So I love this. After all the reviews I read I thought this would be a perfect companion to the long drives to my In Laws at holiday times. I was totally right. It doesn't get hot, but it does warm up enough that your legs and feet feel warmer than without it. Better than laying a cold blanket from the trunk over your lap. I would buy this again in a heart beat. I just wish they had battery operated ones too, so I could buy some for the homeless ppl stuck outside in the winter. Dollarama batteries would work quite well for them. None the less, wonderful product, would 100% recommend this to a friend.

I live in N. CA and it gets cold-though no snow or ice. My car heater broke and we can't repair it. When driving late at night, even with gloves, hat, scarf, and coat, I get home half frozen. Until now! This is what I did to solve the problem: I bought the Wagan IN9738-5 12-Volt Heated Seat Cushion ( on sale $14.95 from Amazon), the ( Heated Fleece Travel Electric Blanket - 12 Volt - Red Plaid -$26 from Amazon) and a Roadpro 12V, 2 Outlet Platinum Series Fused Cigarette Lighter Adapter with Short Cord ($8.50 from Amazon) so I could use both items. The cig. Lighter Adapter is great because it has a fuse in it that will protect your car fuse. However, I have been using this set up for about a month in my 6 cylinder Ford Taurus with no power problems. Both the blanket and seat warm nicely. This may sound silly, but for long drives, I put my coat on backwards and leave it unzipped, so I can get maximum heat on my back. It is nice and toasty. Last night on the "cold" ride home, I didn't even need my gloves or scarf, and I was very cozy tucked in between my heated seat and warm blanket. I have no complaints, I bought the heated blanket last winter, and it is still working fine this second season. When I only had the blanket, I wished it would get HOT, instead of just WARM, but now that I have the heated seat, WARM is great. I am glad I chose the seat with a high and low option, because once I warm up, it is useful to be able to switch it to the LOW setting. I've only been using the heated seat and adaptor for a month but so far so good!

I grabbed this for my daughter to use in the backseat while we wait at the school bus stop. And it works perfectly for that. This never gets hot, rather it warms up to feel like you have just taken it out of the dryer. It's a very comfy temperature. Thanks to this blanket I can have her put this on and not have to waste gas running the engine to use the heat. Even not plugged in it's a nice warm blanket thanks to the double layer fleece. Pros: The size, two people in the backseat can share this easily. Well, two kids anyway. The blanket never gets too hot. The cord is a very good length. I have a SUV and I can plug it in up front with me for more control, yet there is plenty of play left in it. It's a nice soft warm fleece. I haven't run into the auto-shutoff being used, but it is nice to have it and you choose 30 or 45 minutes. The cons: Well the con, because I have only found one and that's what keeps this at 4 for me not 5. It takes too long to warm up, about 10 minutes. That's not an unreasonable amount of time, but since we end up waiting about 10 minutes for the bus every morning it works out to be bad timing. But with all the polar air this winter I have needed to warm the car up before leaving so it's warmed up by the time she gets in the car. All in all this is a handy thing to have, and I feel better knowing it's in my car in case of emergencies. As long as you have power from the battery you have some extra warmth. But even if you don't, this would keep you from freezing with the double fleece. If you're reading this you're already trying to figure out if this is something worth getting for yourself. I recommend it, with gas prices rising anything that can help you use less gas is going to be worth it in the long run.
