MophieQi Wireless Charge Pad For iPhone 8/8 Plus - Black

I originally purchased this in 2019 because I have always had good dependability with the Mophie Powerstation battery packs (which I still have/use). Like everyone else I wanted to have less charging cables crisscrossing my night table.I have had iPhones in a Otterbox Defender Pro series cases over the years. It has charged them with the case on with no problem. I’ve also used it to charge my iPod Pro/2 Pro. The only caveat that I’ve experienced it that you have to place it “just right” or will not charge. After I got used it it was no big deal to spare a few extra seconds to sit it for proper connectivity. It also comes with an attached non removable AC adapter so you don’t have to purchase one.It has served me well over the years. I noticed that it can get a little warm, but not hot enough for concern. Like with everything time takes its toll. It no takes a little longer to charge than it used to. Nonetheless that is not a real concern if charging your iPhone overnight or charging AirPods for an hour or so. I do recommend cleaning the puck once in a while as it can collect dust and such. This does impede the connectivity for charging.Overall it’s not a bad charger. However it is not a quick charger if that is what you’re looking for. It adequately does what it supposed to do. And still works after all these years.

I bought this because my charging port is no longer working that well. My chargers don’t stay inside the port very well, they’re always loose so I decided to get a wireless charger for my iPhone 8 Plus. This DOES work, I like it a lot. However when I first plugged the charger in and put my phone on top, it wasn’t charging it at all. I tried moving my phone around on it and it still wouldn’t charge. I finally tested it on my sister’s phone to make sure it was the charger and not my phone, and it charged her phone immediately. My guess is that maybe the charger needs to be warmed up or plugged in for a bit before you use it, because I really thought it didn’t work. But it’s working just fine now, you just have to make sure your phone is set like directly in the middle otherwise it might not charge. I also have a thinner clear otter box case and it allows my phone to charge without taking the case off which is great! This isn’t the fastest charger though. I took a nap for around 2 hours and it felt like it only charged 20 percent. I’ve also seen it go from 13% charge to 14%, then back to 13% while on the charger. This will have to do for now until I get a new phone

This charger is perfect quality and works for charging my phone and wireless cases.The ONLY problem (and this might not apply to you depending on age) is that the plug makes a high pitched noise when plugged in. I plugged this near my bed and the noise ruined my sleep until I discovered the source and unplugged it.This high pitch noise is usually found in cheap electronics or electronics when the internal circuitry isn’t glued down.Besides that, it’s a good product but due to the high pitched noise I’m sticking to my cords.

Has lasted me years, my phones charging port no longer works so I needed to use this after having not used it for a year or so, and it still works to perfection on my iPhone 12 Pro Max.
