Really opened up my tone
I needed a buffer for my board cause it was a little muffled soundingThis thing really opened up my toneBoosted the output to match my amp so now its pretty straight forward setting up vs before when itd take 10-15 minutes getting my amp eq’d just right. The high freq knob really helps get alot of the woofyness associated with humbuckers.Love the tuner out function

Everything I Need In One Pedal
The Fender Downtown Express has everything I need — Compression (with monitor LED), EQ, Overdrive, and an XLR Out.It’s beautifully designed and well crafted, as one would expect from a brand like Fender. I love the gold finish and backlit knobs.I’ve been looking for a DI to replace my SansAmp (which didn’t cut it for me). I was initially considering a Darkglass pedal but they’re so expensive. The Downtown Express is priced extremely well considering the quality and capabilities of this pedal.I love the sound of the overdrive. it doesn’t have a blend knob, which I thought would be a dealbreaker, but I’ve been I’m able to dial in a fat and crispy drive tone without losing the low end.I keep the drive knob down pretty low. However, it can get pretty distorted if you need it to. For my needs, I wouldn’t ever turn it past noon (a little goes a long way). The compression does exactly what I need it to. I never turn it off. The sustain is massive.I don’t mess with the EQ too much, sometimes I’ll boost the bass or the mids depending on the context.I usually run it through my Fender Rumble amp or use it as a DI at church.I would definitely recommend this pedal.

A Chorus, bubbling into another Chorus. Awesome.
Yep. ... Most reviews of this pedal are so far off on how great this is, it's scary. This chorus is excellent.I own a ton of chorus pedals; I'm a goth rocker = chorus & fuzz pedals are my life. This has tons of clarity, lots of complimentary underwash, and stacks anywhere on your board, perfectly. The sensativity, once set to volume and tonal change, allows for one chorus to bubble up from it's other pre-existant chorus - both can be easily set to your preferred standard. And! You can swap back & forth on the fly. Which is handy, & awesome. It's not overly sharp, nor is it dark. With humbuckers this sparkles & shines with your grit & fuzz, instead of layering against them. Example: Front or behind overdrives & octavio circuits, it swims the sides until you punch it. Then it blooms. Plus, when you chill your playing, it gently ramps back to your first setting without having to touch a setting.Think: Two choruses with a volume mixer in between that reacts to your guitar presence. Great for slide-ins and swells.Comparing it to other chorus pedals isn't all that possible, this sounds like itself. It's classy. It's great.I adore The Bubbler Chorus.I'll be buying a second one as well.
