Improved version of the OEM?
It's hard to say I love a replacement thermostat, but it was a replacement for the OEM and fit as intended. It also appears to be the updated version. The original had a rubber gasket (internally) that deteriorated, causing problems. This one does not have that gasket, so may last longer. To clarify: this t-stat DOES come with the gasket that fits around the outside of the stat body, so it will seal the way it is supposed to.UPDATE 04AUG2016: This thermostat failed 361 days after I installed it. It is staying open, which does not allow the engine to come up to its proper operating temperature.
