10640 Elbow Fitting W/Rubber

I had a plastic gas tank where the molded outlet had broken. I shaved the old area to flat with a razor then drilled a 1/2" hole where the old hole had been. I did not need the nipple inside the tank where it would not drain so I cut that part off. Pressed in from the outside of the tank and it formed a perfect non-leak seal. My mower is back up and running.

If you have any brand of Generator, with the Fuel Tank located over the engine, this will replace the plastic piece if it leaks. Glad I got an extra, last time the power went out.

THIS IS THE SEC. ONE THAT I ORDERED AND THERE IS NO RUBBER BOOT FOR THE TANK. I WILL RETURN IT ALSO AND REORDER A NEW ON. AFTER OVER A WEEK I STILL DON'T HAVE A FITTING WITH THE BOOT

This was the perfect quick fix for the broken fitting on my '82 Corvette headlight canister. I just drilled a half inch hole and put this in it Right where the old fitting broke off the canister.

Replace everything to do with the fuel system after it had been sitting up awhile. Runs great now.

This metal fitting allows for a flexible 1/4" tube to be attached inside the tank, typically with a "clunk" on the end of the tube to keep at the lowest point. Just remember that a urethane tube that is immersed in fuel will degrade, and require replacement more frequently than usual. I replace my in-tank lines annually.

does not come with rubber grommet even though it state it does. I have ordered this item twice and both times it has to be sent back b/c the grommet is what I need
