Suitable for PCB manufacturing, rework, and repair. Also perfect for electronic assembly.
These wipes are not designed to remove static from any surface or object. If you want to remove static, buy an ESD Ionizer Fan.ESD-Safe wipes are ideal for PCB manufacturing, rework, and repair facilities. They are also suitable for electronic assembly tasks. Both of my tech jobs utilize these for cleaning flux, alcohol, grease, finger prints, and other foreign contaminates off of circuit boards during manufacturing, repair and rework. They are also used to clean solder paste stencils and mixer bits for Epoxy encapsulation of electronic devices. Why ESD-Safe wipes? Electronic components both surface mount and through hole technology can be sensitive to electrostatic discharge. You need to utilize wipes that can effectively dissipate charge to protect sensitive electronic components and devices during any assembly and or repair processes.

Not really for cleaning smudges and fingerprints off phone's screen protector
Item: "AAWipes Anti-Static Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Wipes (6"x6" ,100pcs, Polyester Wiper Cloths with Conductive Yarn) ESD-Safer Cleanroom Wipers, Lint Free, Sealed Laser Cut Edges Suit Class 100, Ultrasoft, Non-Scratch"~While I may need to use some of these in the future for anti-static purposes, so far I haven't. Mostly I got them for cleaning off screens (phone, monitor, etc) and other things that get smudges and such. They aren't really that great for that purpose. When I use them on my phone's screen (which has a screen protector on it), they just smear the fingerprints around into new smudge patterns (I hope that description makes sense). And if there's any little piece of dust or some other particle, it'll leave little lines traced into the smudges. (Not scratches. If I clean off my phone's screen with something else, the little lines go away too.)I didn't ding the rating by much since that isn't actually their intended purpose. The other thing is, it would've been nice if the pouch was resealable. They come in a sealed pouch, inside another sealed pouch... but you have to cut each one open to get them out.Still, it's a lot of little cleaning cloths. I ran two of them through the washing machine and they came out intact.

I think I bought the wrong product
The way the description was written these REMOVE static. Couldn’t be further from the truth but I’m not sure that they were designed to do that. They didn’t “add” static but definitely didn’t remove it

Great for cleaning glasses and other glass surfaces like my laptop screen and TV.
I worked in a cleanroom for one summer as a pickup job between school in Canada. The cleanroom made what's called crash stops for the mechanical versions of hard drives. Any small particles on these devices could corrupt data on the hard drive internals. The room had a positive directional airflow that ran into a large Hepa filter, and we dressed in antistatic suits, booties, and wore headdress and masks. While I don't work there anymore, or have the need for that level of clean, these are great for cleaning my glasses and other glass surfaces that pick-up dust. My large screen TVs tend to collect this on the screen, and I hesitate to use sprays or liquid cleaners on them, to these seem to do a nice job picking up the dust and not leaving streaks or smears behind. My laptop and desktop computer screen are similar in that I like to get the dust clear and keep the screen clean. I've typically used microfiber cloths for this, but these are similar and don't leave any dust, they are disposable as well, so I don't have to launder them.I've taken to using them with my BiPAP machine as well to clean inside of the mask which tends to get somewhat dusty. I normally use an Ozone based device to keep the mask clean, so I don't use soap and water as much, but it does not remove some of the dusty residue, and I find myself breathing it in periodically when I use the mask. I clean them with special wipes, but these do the job well, and are less expensive. A good product especially for glass surfaces of all kinds. Recommended.

The best for touch screens
Wipes like these are the absolute best for cleaning off any touch screen you have on a phone, tablet, watch, etc, or screens on things like your TV or laptop. They don't leave behind any lint and they remove all traces of smudges left behind by the natural oils in skin. These wipes work okay on their own when dry, but when used in combination with an appropriate screen cleaning spray, the end result is a crystal clear AND clean screen again. The large size makes them useable for several cleanings, or you can cut them into smaller squares, tuck into a plastic baggie, and use when needed. This helps you get a better value, too. I cut into smaller squares and keep a resealable plastic baggie of them in my car and a snack-size baggie of them in my purse. These wipes work well on eyeglasses as well, and their gentle touch helps preserve any special coatings on the lenses (like anti-bluelight) and not leave scratches. A pack of these wipes is pricey, but they DO help keep screens, touchscreens, glasses, or any other delicate surface clean without damaging them like another material can, say paper towels. Those can leave behind micro scratches you may not see at first but can build up over time. Harsher materials can also wear away those special coatings on eye glasses, and yeesh... some of those are expensive. At least with these wipes you can cut them into smaller 3"x3" squares (you get nine per wipe) and reuse them several times before needing to dispose of. I figure that saving the integrity of various glass surfaces so I don't need to pay for repair or replacement is worth the cost.
