Route 11 various Potato Chips (Chesapeake Crab, 2oz (30 ct))

First off, the packaging art on these bags is amazing, showing Mama Zuma, who looks like a temptress from a cover on a pulp magazine of the 1940s, holding an habanero pepper; one of the most creative wrappers ever.The chips live right up to their package: These kettle-cooked chips are crunchier than most chips, with a lot of thick, folded-over chips, and a decent amount of seasoning on them--I dare you to find a bald chip in the bag. I wouldn't exactly say they're barbecue flavored, but rather, spicy, a wonderful taste that is unique in the chip world. I was a Grippo's fan for many a year, but I think they're been dethroned by Mama Zuma's Revenge.

It really taste like you took a bite of a pickle from the jar.

My friend used to get bags of these to share years ago at his place of work. We loved them, but after his work stopped selling them I decided to take a trip down memory lane via Amazon.Just as I remember, they're amazing chips. Flavor wise, they're absolutely loaded with that perfect combination of hot habanero & smoky barbeque, all while packing an intense punch of spice. It's that kind of spice that doesn't overpower the flavor of the chip, but it can easily overwhelm you if you eat too much at once since it sort of sneaks up on you. IMO, it's perfect.Would have subtracted one star as Amazon only shipped me 5 bags instead of 6, but they're so damn good I'd feel bad giving it anything less than the max.

I love the pickle flavor without that greasy taste that often comes with kettle chips. Will definitely buy again and will hide them from my husband this time!!!

Initial impression: it's... good, but tastes like your typical spicy BBQ kettle chips. If you're accustomed to spicy foods and/or are an avid fan of eating them, the spice level for this product will be mild at best, honestly. I ordered it to see what the hype was about, and I'll give these chips some credit in that they ARE spicier than your average store brand chips, but if you're used to spicy food then this probably won't be a different experience. The barbecue flavor is fine, though. You'll probably be better off eating this without any expectations.After going through 6 bags: If you're used to spice, it takes a while for the spiciness to settle in (for me it took half a bag to a entire bag), but it's there. Actually pretty addictive to eat. Would order again.

My favorite potato chips were Organic Spudlove, but they are no longer in business and I am so happy to find Route 11 lightly salted. Most potato chips are too salty, but these are just right. They are also gluten free, Non-GMO, and use pressed oil instead of ultra processed oil. These are currently the healthiest low salt potato chips available and they are crunchy and taste great!

I got these at a gas station on a road trip the first time and have been hooked since. Perfect crunch, perfect flavor of dill, and perfect after taste. I'm not a big fan of chips but these are a staple for me now.

I wish they sold these chips around me. I would rated the value for money higher if it did not cost higher to buy online. If you have a Whole Foods around you they are typically cheaper. They are very spicy chips. Do not buy if you do not like very spicy.

I'd never heard of this brand but I'm a sucker for great packaging and like spicy food, so decided to give them a try. My 6 (generously snack-sized) bags arrived in perfect condition - not crushed - I guess it's risky getting potato chips delivered to your house, but mine were fine and beautifully packed. Chips were nice and crunchy and mine were definitely not stale. Excellent spice level for me - deceptively mild at first, then warms up your mouth as you keep eating. As much as I adore spicy foods, I probably wouldn't go hotter than this for a chip - these definitely make you feel the burn, but not to much that you never want to eat them again, lol. And the design on the package is crazy-cute. Would buy again.

Best spicy chip I have had in years.Good quantity, amazing flavour with there being so much seasoning, and 10/10 packaging. Spiciness was perfect for me but would be too hot for someone not used to it.Please dont stop selling this on the Canadian Amazon store. I have been looking for years for a good spicy chip ever since Blairs stopped making them. We dont have as good as of a selection as the US but these chips are flawless.

For those of you who miss Blair’s death rain chips as much as I do these are the closest thing I’ve found ! I wish they were available in Canada and more often on Amazon ! Crunchy, spicy and sweet

Boys if you loved Death Rain then you will be satisfied with these chippys! Hot enough to heat up the forhead and you know exactly what I mean! Well packed and arrives unbroken so that is a shoutout to the seller and packer! I think I have found my new kettle cooked friend! wonderful!

Awesome bbq type chip. Great flavour. Not a lot of heat for me but I have a high tolerance. All six bags leak some ... orange ... juice out of the seams; which is pretty annoying and weird. Makes a mess wherever they sit.
