was debating whether to buy this or not as i purchased a jml one and it was faulty from when it arrived so i figured i'll try this one i'm so glad i did first off comes boxed with all the bits but no batteries for the remote which is AAA size nothing major but nice if they where included set it up put the filter in the freezer after wetting it came out solid cold then filled water as stated would be nice if there was a protective cover for where the cable sits has all the settings clearly stated on/off 3,2,1 fan speed led lights which is red/blue/green and multi on mine the timers are 1hr,2hr,3hr which works great i get around 10 hrs of use before having to refill the water tank which is great for keeping cool during sleep time i will defo invest in another one esp with this summer heat for my desk much cheaper then a ac unit use next to little electric which was a key factor for me oh also instructions are small on box for people with not so great eyesight but it's pretty easy to work out

It feels cool for about 2 minutes , worst £30 I’ve ever spent

The problem I had was that when you put ice water in it (required for humidifier) there is too much condensation on my bedside table & when plugged in, it is only long enough to have right next to your face.

Stopped working after only using it 5-6 times.Typically just 2 days after the 30 day return finished.Worked ok if it was very close and filters frozen. Better than nothing

I really LOVE this unit. I have a similar model from another company but I purchased this specifically for the remote control option.One major advantage of this product is that the unit starts with the fan on the quietest setting and then increases to the highest. In contrast my other unit always starts up on the highest loudest setting which can be a pain especially at night.I also love the multicoloured LEDs on this product.The only criticism I have it that the instructions were minimalist both in size and content. They are printed on the box in very small font and when I did finally get to see them they didn't help much. There was no indication of or reference to battery size or type for the remote. It didn't take much to figure out though. It takes 2x AAA 1.5V.I have added a photo of the instructions so that you can zoom in a read them if requiredI think because I have got other unit which is more or less the same it wasn't difficult to operate, but for a first time user they are not the best.

At home I have this on a shelf next to me in the evenings and I take it to work and have it on my desk. Best twenty quid I ever spent. It keeps me nice and cool where other fans have failed.I does NOT cool the room, it does NOT make any difference to anyone other than the person it’s pointed directly at. If that’s what you need, this fan isn’t for you.Keep it topped up with cold water and have it a few feet from you and it’ll keep you nice and cool even in very hot stuffy environments like the office.I did put the “filter” in the freezer after soaking it but honestly can’t say that made it any more effective. Just soak the filter with tap water, add nice cold water from the fridge to the top tray and it’ll keep your personal area nice and cool for hours

I bought this item to cool me down and it did the job, it does what it says on the box to be used as a personal cooler.
