First day out and I got my 5 cod limit in 10 or 15 minutes. Does the job.
My biggest concern was how slowly the line would drop because I fish in 300 feet of water sometimes. This rig exceeded my expecations. The line flies right off the yoyo.I like how much control I have over the end of the line. I've set up braid with a short mono leader and I could feel the cod going for it right before I set the hook (as opposed to the abrupt weight that I'm used to on my rod).

Well made quality materials
Ordered this for hand line fishing with a planer. This will work perfectly for trolling in the ocean for pelagic fish. It is extremely easy to use and a child could use it to reel fish in. It’s small enough to not take up a ton of space but fits well in the hand for handling fish.

I have used the nine inch for quite a few years and wanted something smaller I could toss in my glove box. It works exactly as expected. I have 50lb mono-filament on it for the hand line and use long 6-8lb leaders to catch pan fish. It works great but, don't expect to haul any monsters from the deep with the six inch reel.
