Marine Masters 15ft 1/4 Inch Green Bungee Shock Cord (15 Feet)

I ordered 40' last year to customize my boat travel cover. This year I needed some more (I have no idea of where I put the remainder of my first order) to make a better winter cover for the same boat (now stored outside). Ordered more without hesitation. This is a quality product that has stood up to the summer sun better than any bungee material that I have used. You can't go wrong with this stuff!

This is heavy duty shock cord. Not the cheap stuff. For re-gluing chairs and any number of other jobs that require tension this is the goods. One could easily use this to build a net that would actually hold equipment in a truck. This is much stronger than off the shelf big box store bungee cords of the same thickness, compared to this those are fake and we all know how well they work. This is stronger than the fake 1/2" they sell in parts stores to span the bed of a truck.

This bungee looks exactly like what I had as original on my Hobie kayak. The inside is solid as opposed to being a bunch of rubber strands. It stretches well and looks nice. I used it with FMS shock cord hooks and it fit perfectly. It also fit perfectly through pedals and other fittings on my kayak. Kayak looks like knew and I would use this again. I suspect it will last for years.

The thickness is in the description as 1/4" for anyone more familiar with wire it's about 3 gauge. It has more stretch to it then I expected. It seems to snap back well. There is a little bit of a chemical smell to it but I won't subtract anything from the rating because I consider it an outside use product. If you plan to use this product inside that might make a difference.9-07-2017

This is 1/4 " cord way to small for and weak to hold down your cover on a boat you will have to double it or more stretches like a rubber ban ok for smaller items that don't need to be held down tight.

Great for making your own tie-downs for your truck bed, kayak or sleeping bag, all which I've done. Handy in the workshop with all kinds of uses for hanging workpieces to dry and holding electrical cords and hoses out of the way. Quick to use with choices of plastic tips available.

Love this stuff. Can’t get enough of it. Bought too thick a diameter but kept it anyway and found it to be much more sturdy than the bungee cord that came standard with my kayak.
