NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP Hydra Touch Hydrating Primer, Vegan Face Primer

I don't know why this surprised me because I have yet to find an NYX product I dislike, but I really think is awesome! I had never heard of a moisturizing primer but I desperately needed one. I'm 30 and my skin is changing a LOT. I used to have oily skin but find now that I am very dry. I use the Too Faced foundation and it just left me looking very matte and flat which I didn't like. But, since I got a few bottles of the foundation and a few different colors and never got to return any, I was determined to make it work! I also use the Smashbox original primer which is silicone based and that alone left me feeling blah, but works! I sometimes use this over the Smashbox primer or use this alone. Don't forget the skincare under your makeup is SO important to how your makeup will look. So I typically use: either a hyaluronic acid serum or a light oil on my skin first, then Neutrogena Hydroboost gel cream for extra dry skin. Let your moisturizer sit for a bit, then apply sunscreen, I use Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Liquid (I have sensitive skin and this does NOT bother my eyes at all + sits well over skincare & under makeup.) After doing my skincare I apply this product on top, I rub it in and pat it in some areas and it's like another surge of moisture, it feels amazing! It is cooling, calming to any flared up skin, I can add some below my eyes (just over the dark circles area not right up to my eyes) and it really does feel fantastic!! It feels like it almost has some hyaluronic acid in it to plump up your skin, but I'm not sure if it does or not. For anyone who thinks they have too dry of skin, they're too old for primers, or whatever issue your skin may have this stuff will work for you! I don't see it being a problem even on combination skin, or possibly even oily skin types. It isn't oily, greasy, or dewy in the sense that makes you feel like an oil slick. It does dry to a nice finish that I honestly think any age group would love. It also makes a great mid-day pick me up. Just get a few dots on your fingers and pat it on, don't rub since you don't want to smear that beautiful makeup, for an instant refresher! It does to help makeup last as well, especially when used in combination with another primer or a finishing spray but I don't think those are necessary. This stuff does a great job on it's own. As a professional makeup artist for about 12 years I am honestly very impressed! I will absolutely recommend this to others and I will be back to buy more. I have found that typically Amazon has the best prices for NYX. This product won me over for sure!!

I am writing this because this primer helped my makeup pilling/dry patches/separating situation SO much. I saw this recommended online by others with my problem -- extremely dry skin that refuses to hold makeup. My makeup now lasts nicely over 12 hours and this made all the difference. My routine: 1. toner pads 2. water based moisturizer 3. this primer (NEW) 4. cushion pact with spf plus setting spray 5. concealer 6. powder 7. setting spray, and my makeup actually stays!!!!!! I do give the first few steps a few minutes to get absorbed by my skin. To be honest I'm too lazy for a bazillion steps of skincare so I always thought that was the problem. But I really just needed a good hydrating primer that wasn't oil based. I am so happy I gave it a try and solved the problem I had for years. I can't believe this thing has apparently been discontinued in stores. It's pricey for how small it is but because it works for me I guess it's what it is.

Nyx pore filler has always been my go to but I couldn’t find it so I order the hydra. It’s definitely more moisturizing but I have large pores and it didn’t blur them as much. The scent isn’t bad and did seem to make my makeup go on smoother and last a little longer.

Right, so I lost my W7 primer. No clue, seriously, poof, no idea where it went. Here's the thing, I'm glad I did. As I've said before NYX is a favorite of mine for Drug Store level Makeup. As I've gotten older my skin has gotten drier. The silicone primer wasn't really working out for me anyway. This gave me an excuse to replace it. NYX Hydra Primer isn't a silicone primer, it's more of a moisturizer/primer. The first time I put it on I was doubtful. It's thin, it doesn't make sense as you smooth it on, but it works beautifully. First, it feels wonderful going on. Hydrating and smooth. I could see it actually soothing my skin, which was worth it for that. Since it is thin and hydrating I didn't feel like I had to limit it to my t-zone and chin areas. This is the first primer I've ever covered my entire face with a primer. Most have been to drying. What I found was it works in my favor on that scale as well. My look is far cleaner. It helps to cover my acne scars and hide uneven pigment. As far as longevity, my makeup stayed put far better than it did with the silicone primer. I'll be sticking with this one. Let's hope they don't decide to discontinue it. Cheers.

So my skin is as dry as the Sahara desert times infinity especially my nose area by my piercings as well as around my mouth and then of course my under eyes. I was gifted a travel / sample size of this product which I used very quickly and of course had to order the full size as soon as I ran out. Well, this is literally the only primer I've ever used and I have used some of the world's most expensive supposedly hydrating primers on the market, but this bad boy this very affordable amazing primer is the absolute only primer I've ever used that makes me look flawless when I wear makeup and it lasts and it makes my makeup last don't judge me for multiple days if I forget to wash my face... Don't be me wash your face! But if you need a more hydrating primer and if you are in search of a primer that will literally last until you die in one go get this and stop spending exorbitant amounts of money on worthless lying poopy primer. I'm serious I used to be a makeup artist I am a licensed cosmetologist and I'm never looking back.

It feels nice when putting it on, but I have very dry skin and did not feel the moisturizing effect I was looking for. It did help with applying makeup though and did not have a strong scent. Putting it on felt refreshing, even if it didn't actually do much for my skin. I would recommend this to someone with more normal-oily skin and for summertime use for the refreshing feeling.

The only face primer I’ve used before this is the Elf moisturizing primer and I can say that this product showed me what a REAL primer is like. It’s so smooth and has such a nice scent to it. I have eczema and sometimes my face breaks out and stays incredibly dry. My foundation has always been flaky and dry and I honestly thought I was a lost cause. But I tried this primer on and my makeup has NEVER looked better. My foundation went on so smoothly and evenly. The primer made my face feel so much plumper and I can find myself just wearing this on its own. It literally felt like a godsend. Totally worth it especially for a drugstore product

Meine Neurodermitis Haut die auch zu Unreinheiten neigt, hat diesen Primer sehr gut vertragen. Auch in Kombination mit Hyaloron Serum, Sonnencreme und Niacinamid Serum war die Anwendung einwandfrei. Klare Kaufempfehlung!

this primer is actually amazing for dry skin! i was concerned that it'd leave me looking too, shiny, but it's nice and hydrates me skin. I have very dry skin, and this product is perfect for a light, moisturing base that i can proceed with my make up. highly recommended!

Ok my skin is dryish/combo so kinda odd but since perrimenopause my skin has got abit dryer especially in winter. Being 50 means having to be more careful on how i do my makeup. Im really glad i gave this a go it is so hydrating and creamy yet very light. I rushed todo my make up though and didnt give it a minute or 2 to settle first so my foundation had afew patchy areas around my forehead and nose. Just give the primer some minutes to settle first maybe 5 mins before putting your makeup on. Otherwise this gets a big thumbs up it really is good, also my makeup lasted allday with no oxidation atall so im impressed . Will definetly be buying again
