The pen is alright. Looks good but not real mother of pearl. Cap doesn't stay in the best resulting in it drying up faster then it should. If you don't constantly use it your pen will go dry in a week. But using it daily you go through a ton of ink. I have another fountain pen that I made that doesn't go dry as quickly. I didn't use that one for a month picked it up and it worked just fine. Only reason I'm mentioning a different pen is to prove that there is a dramatic quality difference. The Jinhao is not made of solid quality. Even for the money I wouldn't get again.

Its more on the BOLD side rather than medium. And I mean its very bold... But if you like a very wet pen then this is the one for you. Its outstandingly smooth and it did impress me. Smoothest pen I own by far. You kinda have to change your writing style to accommodate the smoothness.

this thing is really cool. I use it at work just to sign things with. NOTE: you will have to know how to hold this pen properly for ink to come out of it normally. I didn't know this at first and was wondering why there would be almost no ink coming out. overall great product!

No direction and no ink

Sadly, had to toss the pen, it wouldn't draw any ink in to the chamber. After multiple attempts, took the pen apart and put back together but it still wouldn't pull in any ink.
