Light-hearted and easy to read
This is the second in this series but you do not need to have read the first to understand it.This is the story of Carter, who wants to be a politician, and Eliza who has a big secret to keep. When they end up in a compromising position only marriage will save Carter's career but it will also cause significant problems. This is a good read. It flows well. There are plenty of amusing bits. The ending is very predictable but satisfying.Only one quibble - one character is supposed to be English, she frequently greets people, even people she doesn't know with a kiss on each cheek, we are told that this is because she is typically European. For the author's guidance, this may be typical in continental Europe but not so usual in England !Ignore that issue. If you like a light romantic story, read and enjoy.

Interesting
I gave this book 5 stars because I thought it a very interesting read as it covered something I know little about. Witness Protection, does it really exist or is it a fantasy in stories? If it does exist, what would life be like living under that system. Could you do it, live like that, new name etc etc etc.?

Easy read
I read this after reading Fiance by Friday which comes after this book. This one is a good read and well-written and is a typical romance whereas Fiance by Friday had more of a story and I liked much more.Eliza has a secret that none of her friends know. They in turn are generally rich and famous. Her best friend, Sam, met and married an English Duke via the discreet dating agency for wealthy people Eliza now runs. One of her group of friends is an young politician running for office as the Governor of California, sparks fly between them and danger lurks. It's a fun read with some sexual scenes.

great series
I loved this second book in this series, Eliza and Carter didn't see that coming.Really enjoyed learning their fate. This book had my stomach in knots, loved the dog! Shoe eating monster! Haha.I really loved catching up with Sam and Blake, and learning about Gwen, their honky-tonk evening, albeit the catalyst for the beginning of their story, had me chuckling out loud. Can't wait to read about Karen in the next installment.
