Allstar Performance ALL96414 0.001" to 1" - 0.001 Increment Dial Indicator with Magnetic Base

I read the the reveiws and i did not expect something fancy.But i am surprised - quality is much better than expected - it does the job as described and the measurement is precise and the dial is accurate .So 5 stars for a good product with a very ok quality.

Works for the price, but the base magnet is useless on anything but vertical.

This product met both my expectations and my necessity for it. We are using it an unconventional manner, so we weren't sure if it was going to work. But it is very accurate and works great for our usage.

Used the meter to adjust the backlash on my new Detroit locker (Jeep TJ), worked great. Easy to use and the magnet is very powerful, holds tight. Adjustments were easy and held tight, great quality for the price.

As others have already states, the magnet lacks a little holding power. It's strong enough to attach the tool to a good solid metal surface, but it's on the verge of sliding down if it's on anything less. This is easily fixable through jury rigging or whatever you like, but like I said...for the money, it's a good tool.Functionality of the actual indicator seems to be just fine.
