item replaced. great customer service. very happy now. upgrade to 5 stars 🌟
i bought this as a replacement. i was very pleased with the performance and it worked flawlessly until a few weeks ago. i replaced the gas regulator - batteries - gas tank. it will not come light i have no idea what to do next to troubleshoot the uniti received feedback from the supplier with corrective suggestions. after fiddling with it the heater came to life working properly for several days suddenly as before it stopped working - it lighted maybe 3 out of 10 tries then stopped working altogether. it’s a shame, when working it was fantastic - now i believe it’s turned into wall artvery disappointingany suggestions? My replacement heater has worked flawlessly until last week. The igniter worked on and off. I replaced the batteries and switched gas tanks - no sparkReplaced July ‘23. Certainly thought it should last more than a year plus a few days

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS- This company does not keep product promises
I bought this unit in October, properly installed with drain valves. Ran it a dozen times then drained it for the winter. I live in a climate that rarely freezes and the unit itself is in a microclimate inside a shed under a large tree and it never gets to or below freezing.So- I drained it AND it never froze. But when I primed it for the spring it burst a small hole in The very top of the water line in the top of the unit. Meaning, even if I wouldnt have “fully drained” it and it froze, that there would not have been any water in the part that broke. BUT- the company insist it is my fault and they will do nothing to repair or replace the unit 5 months after purchase. They claim I did t drain the unit and that’s why it broke- they are full of crap!

Hot water, after you know how to install
What can I say? It heats water. Being an off-grid woman, I have been doing things the old fashioned way, heating water on the woodstove in winter, and using the propane in summer. Well, I figured it was high time to get something a bit easier going on around this farm.Let's go through the Pros vs. Cons:I purchased the 18L.✅It is really big.✅Heats up quickly and the water stays hot. (This could be a con for those with children)✅Has dials for flame control and water control, also a dial for winter-summer (I haven't found out what this is for)✅ Mounting was easier after I realized that it would need extra stabilizing on sheetrock wall, yes!! It goes inside!✅Very quiet, and smooth; not like the hot water heaters we had when we were kids, that sounded like a monster in the basement 😆✅After reading TONS of online how-to's, the ease of installation was pretty straightforward.✅Been running off and on a month and still on a Twenty 20lb Pound propane tank🚩🚩I initially cancelled this order and set-up a return because I thought there was a company malfunction, the battery box on the bottom (2-C batteries) does not show the directional placement of batteries. As well, all systems must run at the same time to kick start this water heater (pump, propane and batteries) (I cancelled the cancellation 😆)🚩This is heavy (18L) and pulled the trim off of my wall. ( I stabilized it with a 2x4 and deck screws to a wall stud)🚩Cost me nearly $100 dollars for all the extra pieces needed (mostly exhaust pieces, because the outer diameter is not an American Standard size. 4.16")🚩All those things aside, I would have gone smaller, had I known how massive of a wall space this would take, look a item description, closely!🚩 This took up about 1/3 wall space in my tiny bathroom✅ but hey! How water without the lifting of huge pots!If I were a newcomer to the off-grid environ, I would start here:Buy yourself a good submersible pump, a rainbarrel, a source of continuous power, propane tank, and the fixings, and this here (or smaller🙄) tankless hot water heater. Stronger is not smarter, at least in my case.Peace on earth, goodwill toward men.

Water heater
Bought to put in my inlaws offgrid cabin and run it off a 20lb cylinder, has worked great,i dont know if its actually an issue but if they arent there for 2 months you have to take the 2 D batteries out of it or they start to corrode,my cabin next to it with a different brand doesnt do that so i dont know why

On demand hot water
Works very good, sometimes after turning down the hot water setting it still stays very hot. Good product though

Works well
Had in installed for 6 months for 700 sq ft house. Provides plenty of hot water. Once dialed in works perfectly. Took a few days of adjusting the setting to get water temp perfect.FYI, when installing, display only lights up when water flowing through system.Make sure incoming propane pressure is set correctly. Must use a propane regulator.

Worked for only 5 minutes after professional install...
My family has moved out in the country to start building a house. We currently live in a tiny house and had purchased this water heater unit. After professional installation, it worked for literally 5 minutes. It no longer works. Plenty of gas flow and water pressure, dial illuminates as it should, and the clicking for the Ignition is audible, but wont ignite. We have went through the diagnostics in the booklet provided and have ran out of possible repairs, aside from replacing this unit with one that actually works. You get what you pay for....
