Updated Review. I recently bought the VNDUEEY 500Lbs Fishing Magnet Kit, and it’s been fantastic for clearing out junk and discovering some really interesting items from my local lakes! The magnet has an impressive pulling force—strong enough to retrieve everything from small metal scraps to surprising finds like old tools and random metal pieces that were just sitting on the lakebed. It’s been both effective and super fun!The kit includes a sturdy 20m (65-foot) rope with two carabiners, which is more than enough length to explore around the lake. The rope feels durable, and the two carabiners give extra security when pulling up heavier items. The non-slip gloves are also a nice addition, as they help with grip and keep my hands protected while hauling things in.Overall, it’s been an awesome tool for both a hobby and helping clean up the environment. I’d recommend this to anyone interested in magnet fishing or lake clean-up—it’s definitely worth it!

I got this on a whim for my 14 year old son that loves to fish. My son has tried it a couple of times and loves it. He has taken it to a local pond with ducks, fish, and turtles. He hasn’t pulled out anything super cool yet but he has gotten a ton of fishing hooks and bread ties (from bread that people feed the ducks). Neither the hooks nor the bread ties need to be in the water with living things so this has been a useful purchase it seems.The kit is a great kit, especially for the price! No issues with any of the items. We saw a video where someone had also zip tied the rope after it was tied into a knot around the magnet. The zip tie offered a little extra security with keeping the rope attached to the magnet.The magnet is no joke! My husband was just trying it out because he wasn’t convinced that it was very good. He put it on our refrigerator and almost couldn’t get it off. He was eventually able to slide it off of the fridge since he never could pop it off.This is a really fun kit to give a kid or adult that “has everything” and likes being outdoors and/or fishing. We have an upcoming beach trip and will be bringing this magnet fishing kit with us for my son to use over the piers. The kit is small enough that everything can fit inside a gallon ziploc bag so it is easy to take on vacation.Highly recommended. I’m already thinking ahead to Christmas and will be buying this for a couple of kids that I know would enjoy this.

The good:Price. OMG. You can't beat it. For trying out a new hobby, this is where you want to buy your starter kit.Carabiner has a threaded lock on it.Rope is strongThe bad:Carabiner is cheap. Super light metal, probably not very strong. But, whatever. You bought this because its cheap and you wanted to try magnet fishing. You can get a better one locally.Rope is cheap. Strong but it tangles and is really rough when wet. But, see above. Its whatever.Magnet will come unthreaded from the eyebolt. You will need to reinforce it before fishing. Locking nut, lock washer, epoxy, weld; whatever. I lost mine after less than 10 casts into a river.This company is obviously trying its best to provide entry level gear for people interested in magnet fishing at an affordable price. People were losing magnets due to the carabiner, they put a threaded lock on it. The magnets were coming unscrewed, they added loctite to the threads. The loctite is insufficient though.If you are buying this one because you're not sure if you need a stronger magnet; you do. I bought this one because i didn't know if the 700 or 1000 pound pull would be too much power. Get the bigger one, i wish i did.

So took it out today I was looking forward to finding something cool but the magnet itself is so weak I don't know how they came up with 500lbs it would be lucky to left 20lbs but I got everything it said in the add and the ropes pretty good
