Bob Lotich founded ChristianPF.com back in 2007 and after getting laid off in 2008 he took the leap into full-time blogging. Less than a year later he was earning more from his blog than his previous day-job. While his results are not typical, this book covers all the steps he took to make money from his blog over that two-year period. Who this book is written for: * Those who want to get started blogging * Those who are already blogging but aren't making as much money as they'd like to. Who this book is NOT written for: * People looking for a get-rich-quick system that requires little effort. * Experienced bloggers making over $1000/m (though the book will still probably be helpful, it isn't written to this audience) Some of the topics covered in the book: * 4 Steps to Start Blogging in 10 minutes * Blogging Basics * How to setup a Self-Hosted Blog * The importance of a Customizable Wordpress theme * 3 primary ways to earn from your blog * How long does it take to make money from your blog? * How to get traffic to your blog * SEO Tips for bloggers * How I increased Adsense earnings $1500/m in less than 3 months * 7 helpful tools that made it all possible Review: Easy to read, Easy to put into practice - I am just now thinking through a couple ideas for blogs that I'd like to start. However, I'm way behind on the whole blogging experience. In terms of blogging experience, I've read a couple blogs. That's it. I knew nothing about SEO or guest posting on other people's blogs or building a following by following other blogs or Adsense or pretty much any other blog "things to know". Until now. This short book was packed with some very useful, easy to following information on all of those topics and more. The book is full of links to other resources whether they were sites to purchase domain names, hosting services, ad services, stock photo sites and so much more. There are books out there that will have much more in depth discussions about each of the topics you need to know as a blogger. Just type SEO in the desertcart search bar. You'll find books that are hundreds of pages long about nothing but SEO. This book is short and can be viewed as an introduction to making money blogging. For somebody like me, it's easy to read and whets the appetite. From here, I can get the larger, more in depth books with all the how to info. Are you going to read this book and the next day start making tons of money? No. The author even says that. He tells you that you'll need to work at it, and put time into it. He's up front and honest about that. That refreshing. Would I like to start making tons of money tomorrow? Yes. However, that doesn't happen, and I don't need to read somebody who sells promises of instant fame and fortune. I need real. That's what this book is. It was real. It was useful. It was easy to read. Review: Great Primer on Getting Started in Blogging - I have followed this authors blog for a while and I think his book is well worth the small price. For a miniscule investment this will save you tons of time and headaches in getting started with blogging. This is not a make money fast book. It is a realistic assessment of how much time you will need to start and make money with blogging. There is no marketing fluff here. It's like having a family member or good friend take you aside and tell you what you really need to know when you start blogging so you can avoid big mistakes. There are some great tips on ads and linking for the newbie. This isn't going to go into every minute detail but will provide you direction and additional resources in software, methods and reference material. My one criticism is the author recommends some software or services that he hasn't tried but has heard good things about. I'm always wary when someone does this. But odds are based on his experience he wouldn't suggest these if he didn't feel confident in recommending them.

very basic and a easy read
Very quick read and most information is correct in what the author has said. You can google many topics he mentioned to find greater details. Not the best book on Wordpress money making as one of the last paragraphs in the book recommend for a more detailed ways for making money is pro-blogging book on Amazon. THE most important thing to learn from this book is that "blogging is not a get rich quick it is a work now get dividends later type investment for 10 hours a week work it has been well worth it" best i could do from memory to quote the author :) good luck and yes the money I paid was worth it for the book. But only 3 stars since not many details on what works best, there are 4 or 5 good tips on this. Each section could of had 2 or 3 tips the author or you could get by googling the subject matter and done research to weed out bad advice. Weeding out bad advice is the hardest thing to do, the author has NO bad advice in his book, which is a good thing.

Beginner's Blogging Bonanza
If you are thinking about starting a blog, you need to read this book first. It is a first-hand, honestly written book that clearly outlines how to start a blog and how to monetize it. It's a nice, quick read, with lots of specifics and links that you can use right away. Bob Lotich gives you tips and tools he actually uses to help you get started, circumvent some pitfalls, and avoid time-wasters. Even if you already have a blog and you're struggling to make money with it, you can learn what Bob did that increased his earnings from his blog, ChristianPF.com. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is looking for information, without a bunch of hype and self-aggrandizement. It's well worth your time and $$.

For me, Ok.
I'm a little more than a novice, and I managed to get through this. It was a relatively short reading, but it yielded me some interesting information. These books have a tendency to get a overly spammy with various kinds of links to the author's other works, but not as much with this one. I found the information useful. However, it all depends on who you are. Most of the information here can be found online for free. I myself like the Kindle eBook writing format because it keeps me focused on reading. So for the most part, I think this is a good eBook for an aspiring blogger to read through, and there may be a few worthwhile bits of information to the more experienced users.

Essential for every blogger!
I seen an add for his website on Instagram today. I signed up for the free webinar tonight and received this free book. I skimmed through its entirety in about 30 mins. I am now sitting at my desk with 2 pages of notes! I've been a christian blogger for a little while now. I am just now realizing that it's possible to make money doing what you love! I have been using "Blogger" and have never paid any attention to the "AdSense" link. If it wasn't for Mr. Lotich I would still be spending hours on the internet looking for legit ways to make money from my work. I understand every word in this book because I am well experienced in my research with everything writing related. I enjoyed learning all of the tips and suggestions. I find this book to be very informative and extremely beneficial to what I am trying to do right now career-wise. Thank you for reaching out to us by being honest and providing legit resources and advice. I look forward to your webinar tonight. Blessings! Informative, Understandable, Inspiring
I was pleasantly surprised by this little ebook. I was looking for information on how to get started blogging. I follow other people's blogs and am generally acquainted with the fact that people use ads to monetize blogs. But HOW do I get my own started? Bob Lotich does a great step by step on how to start a blog and get it going. He mentions mistakes he made and how he improved the blog over time. This is time saving information for those who want to get a blog going. His own story about getting laid off and really putting the time into his blog is inspiring. The book is very understandable and to the point. That's not to say the writing is overly simplistic. Some of the other books I have read on this topic read like the author has had two pots of coffee and has been speed writing all night. Not so this book. Its tone is converstational and the topics are organized. The fact that you can visit the author's blog and actually see what he's built results in total credibility to his words.

Very Useful
If you're just starting out as I am and know absolutely nothing about the subject, it provides a very concise and informative introduction to the subject. It's a very basic overview so I wouldn't recommend it to those who already have some basic grounding of knowledge in this area, but if you're an absolute beginner, it's a perfect place to start. In fact, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the author for starting me off on my way to what will hopefully become a profitable pastime.

EPIGRAMMATIC & METICULOUS
Thank God that Author had got laid off, or else we would not have chance to read such an amazing book. The Simplicity he showed and the Content he Concised, is splendid. It is absolutely true that it takes time to get the money earned, whatever the work it will be, the same in blogging as well. He showed us many ways how to get focused and Earned money. I have never read about somebody's Journey in 40 pages. I hope the readers would also appreciate it like i did after reading.

Ottimi consigli

Bob escribe solo lo necesario, "just to the point". No hay relleno inutil. Explica lo basico (y lo no tan basico) para iniciar o mejorar un blog. Como agregado da a conocer su direccion de correo electronico para poder consultarlo. Thanks Bob, you did it right! Ricardo Schillaci

An economical read that provides a wealth of knowledge and direction. Well written and easy to follow.
I have read a number of books in this genre and I will attest here and now, that NONE of them has packed so much practical, thoughtful and ready to use information into such a condensed and well written volume. This book features steps by step instructions that can help you to get started immediately but the author also shares (very candidly), some of the potential pitfalls that may lie ahead as well. Shares also, are his personal experiences, suggested courses of action, resources, search engine optimization, potential cost factors as well as why he partnered differently with certain organizations as his blog grew, than those that he started with. The most sobering element of this book, comes across in the author's attempt to get the reader to understand the realistic expectations that one must have when starting out as well as the wisdom to have the reader reflect on their own motivations for starting a blog. It's all here. If you are like me and probably thousands and thousands of others who want to start such a project but really aren't sure of how to do it and what is the first step(s). THIS book itself - is an EXCELLENT first step. In, and of itself, it could be one of the greatest investments in the process that you can make. Don't let this book's size or pricing fool you, it's all you need to be up and running in virtually no time. I can't recommend it enough.
