Better than buying retail!
Wanted my own cashmere hat, that another store was selling for over $30, it worked out awesomely. The yarn will grow during blocking so size down a bit. I will be making another hat. One skein was enough for a hat!

Soft, but broke frequently, sheds, and bad joins
I wanted to make the Wingspan shawl from Ravelry, and decided it would be interesting to try using cashmere for the first time. Generally I use merino or alpaca yarns, and will choose a blend if the finished project will need to be machine washable. I decided to buy this yarn because it had the lowest price I found, but you definitely get what you pay for. This yarn is overall very soft which made it easier on my fingers than other fibers I've worked with. My skin never got irritated from holding the yarn taut over my finger. However, it had several issues which really detracted from the overall experience, right to the final product:1. Uneven thickness, frequent breakage: The yarn's thickness varied throughout each skein. In the thinner spots I had to be really careful as I worked my stitches, but at a certain point the yarn would just pull away and I had to rejoin it. Though I do tend to hold the yarn pretty taut as I knit, I've been knitting for 17 years and have never had a yarn randomly break on me so many times. I used about 7 skeins for this project and a couple actually broke on me while I was making my center pull ball. I made each one at a time as I ran out of the previous skein. As I became more sensitive to how frequently the yarn was breaking on me, I started paying more attention to the yarn as I wound up the next one, and this was when it became apparent to me there were some thin spots throughout every skein.2. Bad joins. The first photo posted is an example of one of these bad joins. You're working merrily along and suddenly you come across a little mess of strands, which were also prone to breakage.3. Weird, plasticky strands. I've never bought cashmere yarn before so I don't know if this is typical, but even though this yarn was really soft overall, I'd come across odd rough patches caused by small strands of plastic-looking fibers. The second photo I have added to this review shows one of these fibers after I pulled it out of the yarn, placed next to the spot I pulled it from. The roughness I'd been feeling was due to the tight zig-zag shape you can see in the photo, I can only assume from the spinning process. On the plus side, whatever bits of these lurk in my final project are not noticeable to the touch.4. SHEDS LIKE CRAZY! This may have been more obvious since I got the black yarn, but as my shawl got bigger my clothes would be covered in a dark fuzz after working on it for a while. My third photo shows a part of my finished shawl. I dragged it over the white fabric as I placed it in order to show how easily the fibers shed, and how fuzzy the finished shawl is.Though I hadn't planned to use this shawl too frequently, I have a couple skeins leftover and they'll likely sit unused in my stash since I don't want to put myself through all that extra work rejoining broken strands again. I've only gotten the shawl wet enough to block it so I may attempt a hand wash to see if that helps the shedding. It will be hard to come up with a reason to use those last two skeins if I'm committing myself to a pair of gloves or a hat that will mercilessly shed all over every little thing they come into contact with.As a low-cost intro to cashmere yarn, I suppose this served its purpose for me. You can't expect to get stellar quality when you're looking for a bargain, and since I wasn't planning to wear this shawl on a daily basis I'm not too distressed. I'm glad I got the chance to work with cashmere, but I'll go for a higher-quality brand the next time and economize on the size of the project instead.

Absolutely beautiful
This yarn is everything you want in a fingering weight cashmere. I just finished a 2 y.o. sweater with it and still have enough from the 6 pack to make another. So soft and luxurious and easy to work with.

Don't Trust the Product Image
Think of this yarn more like a bit thicker than needlepoint thread. It may be #2 as it doesn't say on the packaging. This swatch was made with US #3 needles. If you're a seasoned knitter this is great, but challenging for beginners like me. Would I buy again? No. Am I returning it? No. Will try to figure a project for it as my skills grow. Reason for the rating is because the product photo makes it look like a bigger skein and thicker yarn. Feel a bit dupped.

Beautiful
I was skeptical about this yarn because of the reasonable price. It is not picky, knits up beautifully and the color was spot on to the computer image. I only ran into 1 knot in the 10 balls I used. I made The Evermore Sweater by Caidree and used the yarn double stranded to get gauge. Very happy with the yarn and the finished project.

Great hand, but knotted joins!
This is absolutely yummy and with a beautiful hand. I got it on prime day so I got a fabulous deal, $18/3skeins instead of $40/3 skeins normal price. But if I had paid the normal price I would have been so mad, because there are KNOTTED JOINS and that is UNACCEPTABLE at that price point.
