When it works it works fairly well, it is less than a year old, my dell laptop wifi also quits when it wants to which is why I bought this to begin with.Has a hard time staying connected to router that is 10 feet away. It also seems to self disconnect/reconnect to the usb port even tho not touched.Works the same on my desktop as well, random functioning.Just bought another brand that is also 5ghz in addition, so far it is much superior to this one.

Works great - incredible value - solved our connectivity issues!
Great little items! Bought to replace similar item that wasn't durable enough - this one has proven to be both durable and consistently serves. No problems with start up or use - very happy with this little item that solved a big problem for us ( so happy I bought two!). Nearby store wanted 35.00 for the same thing! What a bargain!

Not Eligible For Return
My computer is a notebook with Windows 7. I followed the instructions on the CD but after the installation of the driver. the adapter would not work. When I click on the adapter in Device Manager, under the Properties and General tab, the Device status box has this message: "This device cannot start. (Code 10)"The product description on Amazon says "30 Days worry-free Return policy" but when I choose "Return product" on the Amazon menu, I get the message "Not Eligible For Return."Update: I had to download the correct driver directly from the Realtek site for this to work because the driver on the supplied CD doesn't work. The working driver file is: 0001-RTL819xCU_AutoInstallPackage from Realtek. Now it works but not great. I have a 25/5 connection which I get OK on other adapters. With this I only get about 15/5. My review just went from 1 star to 2. But I still want to return this POS.

Different chipset than what is in the description
I bought this item because the description said that it used the RT5370 chipset but when I plug it in it shows the RTL8188CUS chipset. I needed a certain chipset for an application and the description for this product led me to believe that it had what I needed.The device does work but I haven't done a speed test. i will be keeping it because it is always nice to have another wifi adapter laying around but don't buy this if you need the RT5370 chipset.

It works
This item did not work it the one room in our house that seems to have a dead spot for our wifi. I was hoping this would help but it did not. Otherwise it works fine as a dongle if your computer does not have a wifi card and you are not in a dead spot.

Fine Product & Good Price
I'm happy with this WiFi adapter for my Win10 backup PC. I plugged it in, and it worked right away (no need for the CD). Speed is good, and the price was very reasonable. With my Prime membership, I got it in 2 days.

GREAT!
CHEAP AND FAST! What else can you ask for. Replaced an old wireless "G" Linksys USB WIFI adapter. Didn't need to add software, was recognized on reboot, much faster than the old one.

eeh. It's slow and the driver CD is buggy.
You get mega "not a trusted Microsoft partner" when installing the driver.Lame performance compared to my 6-year-old Netgear Wifi dongle, also crappy- but blows this one away.

Me parece muy útil y económico. Es ideal para lo que necesitamos en casa. Al ser tan pequeño, es fantástico.
