Great just to have the pictures of a time in the musical evolution of this ‘old time’ music on the porches of America in the past. Especially enjoyable for those who, like myself, enjoy this music and have ancestors who played this music every chance they got.

This was a gift for a musician. It was a big hit! It arrived sooner than the estimated delivery date and was in perfect condition.

Bought this for my dad, who is an old timey bluegrass musician. He absolutely loved it.

I like the book, but didn't love it as much as I had expected to. I think I was expecting more musicians to be covered in it and a deeper look at the history of the music. There are some great shots of some of the musicians covered though, like Hazel Dickens, Alice Gerard, and Doc Watson.

A Xmas gift for a musician who has immersed himself in the old time music genre.
