Milton BradleyElectronic Handheld Merlin

I got my Merlin when they first came out. I still have it, and it still works almost 30 years later. As a teacher, I believe it does have educational value. It helps children improve their logical thinking, eye hand coordination and memory skills. I am of the original video game generation (Pong, Atari, etc) and still enjoy my Game Cube and Wii. However nothing beats some of the original hand held games, and this is one of my favorites. I am getting them for my niece and nephews so they will leave mine alone. They enjoy my Merlin and yes, they are avid players of Nintendo DS.

Overpriced

I used to have a Merlin when I was a kid, so when I came across this on Amazon I thought I would get one for my kids. They enjoy playing with it. It's educational in that it teaches or helps to develop memory and just uses your brain in a fun way. The only thing I don't like about it is that there is no volume control, it's just stuck on loud and can't be shut off or turned down to be a little quieter. It was a little pricey but seems very durable as my nieces and nephews (11 kids total) have all taken turns with this toy.

I gave this as a Christmas present so I didn't check it out when I received it in Sept. I asked my daughter how she liked it and that's when she told me it had battery corrosion inside. She has two small children so couldn't have this around. I have contacted the seller and have heard nothing from them. I consider this fraud in the biggest way. I didn't get what I ordered which was a new one. I would like to get my money back.

memory testing games.

I too had a Merlin as a child and I loved it. I have been looking for a Merlin for years and I finally found it. I recently bought 2 and I am glad I did. My newphews are always playing with them. The memory game helps them out a lot. The older Merlins were bigger, and the buttons on this Merlin are raised, (the older ones weren't), but it's the same Merlin. I recieved my Merlin in the time that I was told. Great product.

I bought this for my children years ago and they loved it. So, when I saw it I bought one for my eight year old granddaughter. The old fashioned toy, but tons of fun. It is a simple toy, and it captures her interest.She loves to try to beat Merlin. A bit pricey, but well worth it.

Merlin was just as much fun as my kids remembered from their childhood days! Now their kids enjoy playing the same games!! GREAT

Purchased this for my wife. She remembered Merlin when she was a kid. She appears to enjoy it and was pleased to find it on Amazon.
