Things you wish you knew when you started a business to sell
As an investor, I have been in countless situations whereby I have had the opportunity to invest in start-up businesses. I have also been involved with businesses that decide they want to sell and end up paying through the teeth for legal fees, assets & agreements which could have all been avoided if they were built to sell from the outset. This book contains all the information you would want to know before considering building any business in my opinion. This book takes you through a very clear and step by step way on how to start, scale, and grow your business through investment. It really is a sure-fire way to attract the investment you want and ultimately be able to focus on enjoying the business instead of resenting it.Invaluable insights from someone with vast experience and knowledge, clearly.Highly recommended from me.

A must read for start-up CEOs and those advising them !
If you are a CEO about to go out the market looking for investment you really should read Investor Ready - it is a bit of a no-brainer ! About 5 hours of your time will save you so much pain further down the line. Investors aren't there to help you get ready to seek investment........but Julie Barber is !Where I think it is really useful though is if you are advising a start-up in any way (marketing, product, customer, etc) you should read Investor Ready to help you fully understand how you can support your client through this process........not advising on the investment itself, but making sure your client is in a position that their proposition to investors is so strong that there will only be one outcome.
