Whats the maximum cut height?

My battery is a 40v 4.0ah max battery for a greenworks chainsaw, will it work in a greenworks mower that uses a 40v 5.0ah battery?

As long as the batteries are physically interchangeable (and they're supposed to be with this company), the battery is electrically compatible as it can supply the requested voltage. As long as it doesn't have insufficient cooling or some such issue it should work. The amp-hour rating is essentially a statement of capacity. "4ah" means the battery can deliver (on paper) 4 amperes, at 40v, for 1 hour (put another way, it is a (4am*40v=)160 watt hour battery). If you draw fewer watts (via fewer amperes OR volts), it'll last longer than an hour, more watts and it'll last less than an hour.
