M.best Neon Light El Wire for Automotive Car Interior Decoration with 6mm Sewing Edge (10M/30FT, Blue)

After just 2 days, the light began to have dark areas (no light in them), it kept spreading and eventually the whole strip is off.

So first off I have ordered 2 sets…My first set started to die due to the way the cord was pulled with the spot it was in. The second set I only then realized after 3 months had started to fade so it wasn’t the way I set them up it’s just a cheap set up.Don’t get me wrong they look amazing in my truck I get lots of compliments but I hate having to spend money again on them and redo my set up every few months. I have the blue but it looks more teal than dark blue. I didn’t mind it but wish they would make multi color. I’m going to start researching more Elwire and go with something different…

Pros: Looks incredible and was a breeze to install. Easy to install and doesn't require any equipment or adhesives.Cons: After only 2 months it has begun to have dead spots. It showed up in a few areas where there is no bed and just runs along door trim. Flicking it makes it flicker in momentarily but it goes right back. Also, the power converter is noisy, even with an inline ground the system still whines along with the alternator ROM.Overall it's a cheap, fun kit but not worth it for how short it lasts.

The description of the "Red" EL lighting I received twice,one being a replacement of the first one because I believed the wrong color was sent by mistake looks more like a neon or caution orange on or off I even asked other people what color it looked like to them with out any pre discussion of what it should be so to call what i recieved to be red then all stop lights are the wrong shade as for the blue tgat was correct and met my needs and i have to try another vendor to see if they can meet my red EL light needs at this point and to not let the orange go to waist or hassle with sending it back find a good use for them both i just wished it woukd have been the red I was looking for because it would have worked out great. Ive added a photo of the EL light turned on sitting on a red box next to caution tape you be the judge and in person its much more defined. No were even close to red for me.

I received these this morning. They're nice and bright and draw little current but be aware that if you plan on using the provided USB power source in stead of tapping in to a 5v source un your vehicle then there is quite a lot of feedback noise that comes from the provided transformer box. Also be aware these are a nasa orange more so than red. I prefer the color to a dark red. As I said the electrical feedback is enough feedback to alter audio system signals running nearbt. Without the box they're great! Bice little tab edging that slides surprising easily into tight and even sharp crevices. Will require snipping and/or hot glue for 90 degree corners. Great product for the price! I'll post pics once installed. Not powered yet but adds just the right amount of color.

added these EL wires to a routed slot car track project and very please3d with the results. the ease of installing the EL wire is a big deal - no tools or special hardware, as the wire sheathing has a press to fit feature that allows the smallest gap to be filled with LIGHT! Low power and no heat to worry about, the simple USB port of whatever's clever will work.
