Yes. We used it on chicken we baked in the oven, and on a pork roast made in a slow cooker.

What are the ingredients to the citrus black pepper rub?

Cane sugar, salt, spices (including black pepper), Orange peel, lemon peel, paprika, onion, citric acid, chili pepper, sunflower oil, & natural flavor.

After using this rub for chicken, should I slather the chicken with oil before setting on the grill?

I put the oil (actually, I use butter) before the rub. I don't put it on again before I grill. I would think doing that would make the rub come off. I just make sure my grill is clean and I put a little oil on the grill not the food. I do the same with my Ribs.
