I bought this for my 96 year old mom who suffers from macular degeneration, this is working great!!! It's easy to hold & slide and use, the magnification is wonderful. It's really helping her to read better. The on/off button is a little hard to find for her, I wish it was raised or bigger or brighter but I put a raised orange dot on it for her. And you need to click it twice to turn off the light, as long as she remembers. I love this device for her & so does she! She's happy to be able to take it with her to church &/or restaurants to be able to read her bible or menu ! The size is nice to be portable

I purchased this item for an elderly man in our church. Because he requires the magnifier, the tiny switch for the light was horrible. The poor man couldn't find it to turn it on. Also, he couldn't find the usb port hole to connect the cable to recharge it. It's does a great job, just not for someone that cannot see well and is on his own.

This thing is pretty sweet! I regularly have to review engineering drawings and have been looking for a magnifying glass for a long time. All I could find were cheapo plastic pieces of junk or metal framed scientist versions. This thing comes with an appropriately sized padded zippered nylon case to protect it while not in use and appears to be a nice quality GLASS lens. The bright green stripe makes it quickly visible on a cluttered desk. It's also built fairly tough, I wouldn't drop it outside of the case but it should survive years of regular/occasional use. The distance from the reading surface is very appropriate, Would definitely recommend for this type of use.

I bought this to review Aviation Maps... the magnification is just the right amount and the light is a very big help. It comes in a very nice case and is very well made. It is fairly large, so don't expect to carry it in your pocket. But I keep mine on my desk. The unit is easy to charge and I have never had a problem with the battery life.

Oh my what a wonderful magnifier. On its own it's stunning. What gives it 5 * is that it has such a dramatic, readable enlargement and the rechargeable LED lights are a godsend. Protective case is well thought out too.Discovered it in a WSJ article and came to Amazon to purchase. Glad I did.

Great lens, sharp to the edge. Would be a great product if the LEDs worked. Read the instructions, charged until charge status light changed from red to green, turned on the switch and... nothing. Even considering Amazon's easy return process, still a disappointment and inconvenience.

I purchased a total of 6 domes. Five out of the six after only a month and a half of being purchased partially turn on. Called the 800 customers services number had to leave a message; hopefully, I get a returned call. When they work, they worked awesomely. Battery life is three consecutive hours only before needing to be charged again.

Much larger than I expected which is a plus. Perfect weight. Great amount of light. Sturdy construction, and I especially like that it is rechargeable. The optics are awesome, and it has a very nice, protective carrying case.I am very happy I bought this.
