ClosetMaid 78060 Sliding Tie & Belt Rack for Wire Shelving, Satin Chrome, 7x4.5x15.5 inch

I have a tiny closet. My clothes fit in it, but hangers were getting tangled no matter what kind i bought--even baby hangers. The small hangers worked, but i had terrible trouble reaching them without a stool.So Trying this for things with tiny straps (which expose more hanger to tangle).To hang, i put the wires where i wanted them in the back first so that i could slide in between the bars and then turn/twist it in to place instead of squeezing... used a ratchet driver to get the screw in place (see picture)... Then i hung the front according to the directions and easily stretched the bottom points of the wires into the back of the unit into the little holes/divets. Very fast and much easier method. I even moved it twice with clothes still on it because the hanging process i used was really easy.I'll update if it turns out to be a terrible idea... But if i don't change a word, fair to assume i still like the idea!

It is a little pricey but works great. Reviews I read people complained about it not staying up. I believe they fastened it incorrectly. You have to hook from outside going in. See photo. But I bought one for my toes and one for belts and works great.

My Thoughts:I had a belt problem…way too many belts and not a good solution to store them. I tried a couple solutions. Coat rack on the door, single specialty hangers and even a tie rack. Finally, I found something worth it even though it was a little pricey…and it was perfect because it was made for the type of wire shelving my closet has.I was not too impressed by the quality of packaging/checking. I had to send it back once because it was missing the spring clip and instead has to 2 metal clamps. Just this second time It came with all the parts but the screw was deformed. Luckily I had a similar spare and used that instead. My only other gripe is I wish it was more stable… its not super wobbly but weight does matter a bit.The Bottom Line:This is just perfect for belts…no comment on ties. It doesn’t take up much room and can hold a ton of belts. I do wish it was a bit more stable.

All the ties are organized, much better than the hanging rack I had before. It’s so easy to find the right tie. Slide it out, grab the tie and slide it back out of the way. I even have a couple belts on there.

This device was not worth the money to me. First of all, the sliding bar needs to be flat rather than round. Its shape allows it to sway left and right, depending on the weight that's placed on each side. This allows belts to fall off the rack, as the belt-holders are too flat. Also, it does not extend out far enough to reach the belts near the back end. I had been using a very old plastic one that was much more stable and extended out a good six inches farther than this one. It had broken, but I rigged it back together and am very happy with it. Also, this one is very over-priced at more than $57! I don't recommend it.

I love this product. I installed one and loved it so much that I ordered the second one. It is built of solid construction. It pulls out for convinience.Please see attached photos to see how nice and organized it is.It puts a smile on my face when I go looking for a tie to wear in the morning.I highly recomend the product to say the least.

It takes me two hands to extend the rack because the rack brackets really aren't well-designed. The rack has popped off the rack about 20% of the time that I have extended it with only one hand. I do like it's capacity.

Exceeded expectations! Had certain doubts about the hanger rod below the shelf in our setup but it actually fit perfectly as seen on the photos and the color was a great match too. Well-designed sturdy product and an awesome solution for those with collection of neckties (or scarves). Recommended!

Very convenient way to hand your belts and ties. Able to quickly see what you might wish to wear.
