I purchased these pencils to add to my collections of colored pencils as I am a colored pencil artist. They are very creamy and rich in color, easy to blend. I would compare them close to Holbien pencils. The only thing so far that I wish was having lightfast ratings........ outside of that they are beautiful pencils

Unique set of color pencil to add to your art supply collection. I like everything about them. Nice lay down of color and easy to sharpen. Arranged by color family in its each book like box. Fun set.

Rich color, lovely color palettes. The pencils lay down color nicely and the separate "books" keep the palettes organized beautifully. They were pricey but are a joy to use.

From a collector to artist a must have!!!!

The Marco Tribute pencils are beautifully packaged. The pencils are pigment rich and have nice laydown and blending/layering capabilities. However, I am disappointed that upon my first use of them, which was swatching the colors, two of them broke and by the time I'd sufficiently sharpened them to continue using them, I lost more than an inch of those pencils. Another two of them chipped and crumbled and several other colors created crumbs during use. For the price, I expected better quality. Also, the lovely packaging contains a few typographical errors in the color lists on the inside lids, which I noticed as I was creating my swatch sheet. I hesitate to recommend these pencils at their current price ($89.99). For half that price, the above quality issues would be more acceptable/understandable.

So somewhere down the line my kids will have it. Have fun coloring!!!

My first impression of these pencils is that these pencils are very well-made and come in extremely nice packaging. As far as the use of the pencils, quite nice, rich colors, smooth but nothing we've not seen before. I wanted to be impressed and I wasn't. Keep in mind that I've only used them once to complete a piece of art. Maybe these pencils will grow on me.
