I've been using Opsak but wanted to try these as a cheaper alternative. The closure is easier to use, and they are equally if not more durable.I took them backpacking and didn't have room in my bear bag for a few of the snack bags and so had to leave them out. No chew marks.Then, because we had to pack our waste (aka poop) out of this area, we placed the waste bags inside one of these Smelly Proof ones. My partner accidentally threw the pop bag in the car with us for the drive home and we didn't even notice until we opened our gear. No smell at all.I'll buy more of these!

Alot of companies claim there bags are odor proof , but I even wipe down the outside with alcohol and then test it for leaks. I didn't just put one little bud in these, it was filled with almost 1/2lb. Still no odor, Durban and Gelato, not schwag. Huge bags and excellent and easy to use zipper. Reuse multiple times.

While I doubt these are Smell Proof to a BEAR, they are to my nose. I use these clearly stronger Zip Locks for a good handful of trail mix including cherries and salted nuts, energy/breakfast bars, bulk hot cocoa mix, and for shrimp-smelling Hexamine Solid Fuel Tablets. Food stuff zip locks go into my food bag which either gets hung or placed into a site's provided bear box, while the Hexamine stays with my cook kit, also ultimately hung or placed into that bear box. The Smelly Proof Zip Locks simply keep scents from afflicting my Pack or Pockets, and (to me) do a good job.

I used these to store food for my bunny rabbits when traveling with them on a cross country road trip - I didn't want them to smell their food in the middle of the night and tear the bags open to eat!The bags close quite easily, hold a lot of stuff, and stayed closed very well.Once the trip was over though, one of my rabbits smelled his food through the bag and ripped right through the side, so I am deducting one star for that lol.

These Smelly Proof bags are definitely smell proof.I purchased the set of 5 Extra Large bags for a 3-night backcountry trip. And they really do keep food smells inside.I used a Smelly Proof bag inside with my wire food-stuff bag while my backpacking buddy did not. And on the first night of the trip, we woke up to find a small raccoon hanging from her food bag trying to get at the meals inside, while my food sack containing the Smellyproof bag hanging right next to hers went untouched.Since I had an extra bag with me, we repackaged all her food within a Smelly Proof bag, rehung her food sack, and didn't have any other issues with the small raccoon for the rest of the trip.One extra large bag holds quite a bit of food, at least 2-3 days' worth. And just like regular zipper bags, they are easy to fold to squeeze out excess air and reduce the size to make the bag easier to fit in a food sack. Plus, I haven't had an issue with the bag tearing at/or near the seal point.Since Smelly Proof bags come in multiple quantities, I've dedicated a bag for the pup's poop bags when we go hiking. Even in a scented waste bag, the stink can be unbearable. And Smelly Proof is amazing in how it keeps the odor within the bag.I can say these are my go-to reusable smell-proof bags for hiking, camping, and backpacking.

I was going camping in Mt. Shasta (go there it’s beautiful) I knew I needed something to lock out the sent to bears and this was great! I’d put my toiletries, left over food, anything scented went I’m these bags, in the cooler, in the car. The bags are very durable and reusable! Amazing! They are very easy to clean and definitely a must for camping! I bought all various sizes and it was perfect. I stuffed some of them pretty full and did not rip!

Will help prevent possums and a like from getting a whiff of my food supply while hiking 🥾
