The Handsome Little Cygnet

This little book is quite wonderful. Everything about it is remarkable. The story is charming and instructive. I particularly enjoyed that that it is in verse. There are ballad stanzas and couplets, which make the text easy to read to children. The diction is age appropriate without seeming childish.illustrations are lovely and evocative, worth the sale price on their own, and the images are married flawlessly to the story. Withal, this is a handsome little book. I would love to read it to my children, but they (and my grandchildren) are all, alas, too old. ~John Wickersham~

My kids and I love reading together and The Handsome Little Cygnet is a new fan favorite in our house! The illustrations depicted lovely scenes from New York City and the length makes it a perfect bedtime story! As a mother, I also appreciate the message about the strength of familial love!

Great book to read with children.

Look at it before you buy it. The illustrations are outstanding. Beautiful. But the cygnet gets dirty and the brown color renders his “ugly.” Washed off he’s beautiful and white again. Not sure how this will go over in 2021. Sorry. It is lovely to look at.
