Raw and true!
I have always been a fan of Ashley Graham and this book made me respect and adore her even more. The way she feels about herself is the best example of body positivity. She never tries to preach anything. So natural.

Amazing! I just love her!!
I really loved this book. I was interested in reading it before it came out. I read some reviews shortly after it came out and the one review who mentioned it being like a diary and gave it a poor review made me think maybe I shouldn't buy it. But then I read a short two page article in last months glamour magazine that I loved, I related to it and was interested. It was about a woman and her take on love and talking about her relationship. I then looked and realized it wasa snippet from this book. I had to get it and I ordered it that day. I started reading it soon after it arrived and I couldn't stop. I read the entire thing in two days. It is in some ways a little like a diary but it's her talking about what she felt, what she was thinking and it is so relatable. I love her and loved the stories. I loved that she went through and goes through all the same things all of us do. It was really great read. I was sad it was over and I want her to write a second book in the next couple years to follow this one.

Ashley Graham is the real deal :)
I don't hesitate at all to give Ashely Graham's book 5 stars. Her message of body-positivity is genuine and her confidence is contagious. I can honestly say that she has changed the way I see myself in the mirror. She has also inspired me to look for some new clothes that I feel really good in.As far as the content of the book, Ashley tells stories about her upbringing in Nebraska (Hi, Ashley's mom--you sound awesome!) and how she got into modeling. Then, she tells her "coming of age" story about being a young model alone in NYC and leads us to when she met her now husband (Hi Ashely's husband--you sound highly emotionally intelligent--if you ever write a book about relationships/communicating, I'd like to read it!). Then, she lifts the curtain on what it is like to work as a model. Her stories about advocating for herself/her fellow models within her industry are inspiring.I'd say, if you're looking for a radical outlook on body positivity, this is not it. Rather, it's one woman's perspective and story about how she has come to embrace her size and truly mean it.

Read this book!
“No matter how beautiful—or not—one is perceived to be, the true beauty we all possess is found on the inside. That should be our focus and the measure by which we are judged. How do we move through life? What other lives have we touched? Who have we confronted with love? How have we changed the world for the better? Those are all qualities that can’t be counted or weighed. Really, beauty beyond size.”We need more books in the world like this. What an inspiration for so many people who’ve been told their entire lives what is beautiful and that they are not it. So thankful that Ashley kept pressing on despite discouragement and for honestly telling her story.Beauty doesn’t last but the person you are becoming does.

A Welcome Voice for Body Positivity
I like Ashley Graham as a body positive role model. I think she's fun, beautiful outspoken, and gorgeous. She gives women outside the traditional beauty norms a voice.I truly enjoyed A New Model. Graham didn't paint a fairy tale version of her life and career. I identified with her in a lot of ways, especially as someone who also matured early and didn't know what to do with the power and pain of a twelve-year old with a women's body. It was a hard reality, and I'm so glad girls now are growing up in a new reality Graham is helping to shape.A New Model was an easy book to read. Graham has a welcoming, friendly voice. I was sometimes confused by the non-linear narrative, but enjoyed it all the same.
