Pearson Chemical Process Safety: Fundamentals with Applications

Excellent product

Bought for college student & it held up to wear and tear!

I have both 3rd and 4th edition of this book, have to say the contents are pretty much the same. However, my prof emphatically said he wanted us to buy the 4th edition, and it turns out he is the editor of this book. Not pretty sure how much profit he make through selling this particular book, but I looked up online "authors/editors generally get 10-15% of sales revenue", and the class size of one semester is about 150 people. ‘interesting' update: Prof wanted us to buy the updated edition of the book, but he didn't update his own PPT, homework probs, and quiz contents. Hope our department head could read this.

The standard for all chemical process safety yet this one book could be pretty much consolidated into an excel sheet. Don't get me wrong, chemical safety is incredibly important, but 4 pages of the same formula isn't going to make the world safe. It is the standard and a thorough book, however in this modern age, this should be a simple website or excel sheet. Best of luck and hopefully you don't fall asleep reading it.
