I was quite surprised with the quality of this, sense a lot of the reviews were quite bad. I put this into my Redcat Racing Volcano EPX PRO, and it's worked great. It hasn't broken yet, or stripped. The disadvantage is that the holes are slightly too small, so on a couple I had to drill them to make them fit. The quality isn't amazing or anything, but for the price it's great.

Quality of part is not as good as factory hsp, redcat parts.. Differential carrier bearing is offset to make clearance for ring gear bolts that are not countersunk like the factory parts, this offset isn't achieved with shims, the bearing simply isn't pressed all the way onto the plastic casing.. And will float after first use i would not buy these again over factory originals

After first being somewhat disappointed from pinion gear pin not lining up on first purchase, came back to these after trying others. Now that I’ve been in the hobby for a while and purchased many sets, these diffs and gear boxes are just fine and close to stock for fraction of price. #1 item that wears for me is drive cups. You will pay more for a set of just cups than the price of this entire drive assembly. If you are not, you must shim any diff and gear box for best results. Also I switched to diff oil in transfer differential (sealed with RTV) and silicone grease in gear box both from tube red sticky grease. I prefer the aluminum setups in my higher power truck as it will strip the screws out of any plastic diffs, but those require much more attention shimming and whatnot.

Screws on Differential was short and it didn't everything inside properly. Build quality not good

At first I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the casing and the quality of the gear and driveshaft. Then upon further inspection I noticed that the bearing for on the inside of the gearbox is grossly oversized. Allowing the main driveshaft to wobble around quite a good fit inside of the housing. So when installed onto my red cat, I had to use my old front housings because I knew the bearing tolerance would cause issues and strip the gears. After doing a couple of work bench test runs with the car fully assembled, the right rear drive axle is not engaged in the differential anymore. I would probably suggest purchasing these gearboxes elsewhere.
