Just as described
Item came double boxed, and in perfect condition.I have never used one of these before, but when I learned that they had a standard version and heavy duty version, I decided the heavy duty was for me, and indeed the vinyl is very thick. Probably compares to what they use to make tubes for water sports. Was very easy to install, took about an hour, and much of that was figuring out how long and wide I wanted the final mat to be. This mat was a bit larger than I actually needed, but wanting to allow for future changes, I didn't want to cut off what wasn't currently needed. So I simply folded under the excess, on one side and one end, and that seems to have worked just fine. The plastic pieces go together easily. I found that if you open each plastic piece and "break" the spine in a bit, then getting the plastic lined up is much easier. Kind of like when you get a new book, just makes it easier if you work the spine in a bit.If you need to take one of the plastic pieces off, I found using a needle nose pliers, by inserting the nose of the pliers into the end of the plastic piece, and then pulling the pliers open works really well. In other words, I am using the needle nose pliers in reverse.Note, I brought my mat and plastic pieces into the house for a few days before installing. So everything was very easy to work with. I bet trying to install this cold, in a cold garage would be much more difficult.

Will wait to see how this works and update this post after a good snow!
For over $200, I expected something different. We were sold on the perimeter edge that would trap water, snow, etc. This product consists of a very large, plastic sheet that you connect the hard, plastic perimeter around. My husband and I had it put together in less than 40 minutes and we will see how it works throughout the winter months. While putting together, my husband said, "This looks like $32 is materials; what did we pay for this again?"We thought we had bought two for this price. We are using the park smart for his F150 and using an older truck liner to park my prius on...if the park smart works well, we will consider buying a second one, but we will definitely shop around.

It Works As Designed But ....
This is my second Park Smart Mat. The first mat is still in use after 4 years. The problem with the new one is that we got it during winter and water got under the mat. As soon as it got cold, the mat started sliding all over the place. Had problems when driving in or out, the mat would double up under the car and created a couple of rips in the plastic. Not good.

Overpriced - but it works!
Too much money for a piece of plastic - but it does the job.Don't forget that trapping snow melt means you are stepping in a puddle (or mud) when you enter/exit your car

Great for Non Level Garage
We have a split ranch so our basement is finished and with a non - level garage floor the Park Smart keeps everything on the Mat.....Also when it dries all you do is sweep away the crud...Only complaint - instructions are awful and I put together wrong, but it still works as described!

20 mill Park Smart Mat
The 20 mil Park Smart mat offered here really isn't Auto-Care Product, Inc., (Park Smart) heavy duty one. That one is 50 mil and more expensive.I had a 20 mil mat for maybe 15 years, and it did the job of keeping car snow melt away from the side of my garage. I'm satisfied with that kind of life. The 20 mil mat finally started cracking, and the edge pieces started to break apart. I know I ran over it some. Still, after 15 years. . .The 20 mil one is worth the price.I'm about to order a 50 mil one from the company. I'm 77 years old and probably crazy to get the heavier one. I'm an optimist.
