It will give you audio WITHOUT Bluetooth power. If you turn on the Bluetooth to run phone and console simultaneously, you will lose audio via 3mm.

What type of connector is on the non-aux end?

The connector is specifically for the steel series headset. It was designed to come apart for easy storage and transport. Hope this helps.

Is this a 4 pole cable?

Hello, the 3.5mm end is 4 pole jack, after you add this cable, the Microphone on your SteelSeries headphone still work well.

Do these cables work on the mic or audio only or both. if they don't tell me where to buy a mic cable for Arctis 3?

Both! It's great and less flimsy then the original wire
