BEST LIFTER TOOL
This tool saved my butt. Two or three of my lifters were stuck and hard to pull out. This tool grabbed them and pulled them right on out. This Tool Is Awesome.

Don't buy this tool
If available, I would have given this 0 stars. The one I received was absolute junk. The package was a little beat up and appeared to have been previously opened and re-stapled as though it may have been returned before. The problem, besides being very "flimsy", is that the expanding tabs do not spread far enough to even touch both sides of the cavity in a Ford 390 cid valve lifter, let alone grip it. I ended up returning it and buying a NOS (still in the package) KD # 2114 Hydraulic Lifter grabbing tool on Ebay, just like the ones available 40 years ago. There Is another Performance Tool #W84004 on the market now that has a fully round 4 piece collet at the end but requires a wrench to be used to hold the bottom end while tightening from near the handle. Beware that if you buy that one, it likely requires removal of the intake manifold for access to the end of the tool. However, unlike this one (W80566), it is well made, sturdy, and has a small slide hammer to help free stuck lifters.

Works well
The lifter puller works well it was somewhat flimsy for what I needed to do but it did saved me time and money on a customer 1973 International Scott II with a 304 engine, I pulled (removed) and replaced all the lifters through where the push rods enter and didn't have to remove the intake manifold. I do recommend this puller just be patient.

Works well for removing lifter if they are not stuck ...
Works well for removing lifter if they are not stuck. My lifters were stuck and broke the tool on the fourth lifter. The cross handle separated from the tube body. I'm not blaming the manufacturer as I'm sure what I did would be considered abuse. I bought a heavier duty tool, repaired this tool and was able to use both to remove the remaining lifters.
