Very fine fountain pen

This is at first appearance a lovely looking pen. That said, I almost returned it as the cap was so tight it required what I considered superhuman strength to get if off. There is a technique to make it easier after much trial and error I mastered : twist and then pull.I look forward to using it on a regular basis.August 23: UPDATE beware this pen SKIPS (well the one I purchased does) a lot--very annoying. It is too late to return it as I have used it but reading again the advertising `blurb'that accompanies its picture, I can see that the emphasis in on `elegant looks' rather than performance as a writing instrument.

So good as my favourite everyday pen, I bought a second one. Love the weight and balance, the flow rate is perfect on the medium nib. Realised if I ever lost it, I would be gutted.Just watch out for huge price variances on Amazon, sometimes double for certain colours which seems unjustified and shame they mainly come with a cartridge. My original came as a refillable version, which I prefer and the range of Waterman bottled inks is wider than the cartridges.So add the extra and buy the standard refillable version - a bit of clever marketing. Sadly the most expensive versions still come without the refillable cartridge. Why?
