Hard wearing and waterproof
This is my 2nd pair I have ordered, they’re on standby for when my 1st pair give the ghost. My 1st pair I have used for dog walking on and off road, I stomped through mud, streams and stones and have found these boots comfortable, waterproof and hard wearing. On their last legs now after (800 miles according to Strava).

First update.
Longish walk today, 12 miles, stoney tracks, grass, some boggy bits, 3'C, around the Alwen Reservoir and Denbigh Moor forests. All good, very comfortable, warm dry feet.First impressions : After trying them around the house for an hour or two I felt confident to set off for a 7 mile hike over the rough tracks around Moel Famau in the North Welsh hills. Surfaces were muddy, rocky, a couple of small streams to get through and a mile or so on roads, 800ft of climbing. The most important thing is getting boots that fit and suite your feet. These appear to be just right for me, and size was as expected. They offer me great support around the ankles, and are comfortable. The lacing system is excellent, making the boots easy and quick to put on and lace up. The laces look robust and don't come loose in use.The sole pattern doesn't offer the best possible grip on slippery, muddy surfaces, but will still be fine for most people and conditions. Although flexible, it is tough enough to ensure you are comfortable on rough rocky sections of your walk. On roads there didn't appear to be much shock absorption. The leather is comfortable out of the box, and there was no sign of water penetration despite some quite wet sections. The temperature was around 7'C, my feet remained warm, but not sweaty.I remain impressed.
