Great pitch and sound Better than some expensive ones that sounded bad. Brand names not always better.

I contacted them at the zipper broke the first time I tried to open it and they asked for my address which you already have and that is not right! They still haven’t replace the bag!

Seems to be perfect for learning on. I love having all my children interested in music. Of course all are adults now, but they are learning it very quickly, and has added to there other instruments that they play.

First off, it's in D major, not C major scale. Looks nice, sounds okay, some tongues are too mute. The bag is nice.

I bought a 6" tongue drum (another brand) and liked it and wanted a bigger one, too. So, I ordered a 12" 13 note one (another brand). It sounded fine but was too resonate for me because I have a hearing sensitivity. It made my ears uncomfortable. (not the volume, the vibrations because it was so big). I also did not really see the need for 13 notes. I returned it.So, I searched again and found this one. I loved the deep green and the simple look of the drum. It arrived today. It looks better than the picture. The mallets are a good size and not flimsy. The carry bag is nice and padded well. It feels a little more padded than the one with the other drum I tried and I like the design of this one better, too.The booklet has the same songs that most of these have (which I won't use) but also gives some info on tuning the drum, etc. The clear plastic on the numbers can be removed and the number stays put.The drum: I have not put a tuner to it to check it. Probably won't. I didn't get it to play Western music. I got it to relax and enjoy just making up tunes. It is in tune with the 6" tongue drum I have that is in C, too.I really like it. It has lots of resonance but the smaller 10" size (and removing the plug) make it good for my hearing sensitivity. It has a nice sound. As with all drums, it depends on where and how hard you strike the tongue as to how clear it is. It allows for lots of variations in sound.You can put it in your lap or on your belly and feel the vibrations as you strike the drum. Some say sound vibrations are healing.It might not make sense to some, but I feel a connection to this drum that I do not feel with the smaller one or the one I returned.I am really pleased with this drum.

I bought this as a birthday gift for my musical granddaughter who loves to play my various hand pans and tank drums. I opened it to test the quality and discovered a very nice full sound for the price of this drum. The bag and drum sticks are nice quality as well. As a bonus you receive a few finger picks and a music book.Nice drum. I would buy this again.

I’m sure that the recipient will love the drum. However, I paid for gift wrapping by Amazon and was horrified when I was told that the card on the package said happy birthday to an incorrect name with love from 3 people whom we don’t know. Fortunately, inside the separate envelope the order information was correct, so the recipient contacted me. Had the gift been unboxed and put on the gift table with only the tag on the package, the recipient would have had no idea if it was her gift or who it was from. Disappointed in Amazon and now afraid to use gift wrapping!
