WEEMS & PLATHInc. Weems & Plath, S-1001 Personal Rescue Strobe

I was looking for a strobe to mount on a wheel chair to make it more visible to traffic in day light. That is not a "prescribed use" for this device. I found it to be a very small light and not nearly bright enough to attract the attention of drivers. As a sailor I think it may be one of the better products available for night time marine use but would still have some concerns about trusting my life to the crew seeing me in the water at night, particularly if there were lots of shore lights interfering. May well be the best of the less than good choices.

I chose this for the rated light output and robust design. It seems quite simple in design and is made of mostly plastic. I have no problem with that, as it's probably the best material for the usage. I just can't see how it should cost $59.

Love this light. Bought it to replace my old ARC firefly. Easy twist on and off.

Very bright and build quality appears the best ive seen.
