Excellent for Preserving Flowers
The Activa Flower Drying Art Silica Gel works beautifully for keeping flowers vibrant and intact. It absorbs moisture quickly, helping petals keep their color and shape with minimal fading. I like that it’s reusable, just dry it out and it’s ready for another round. The 4lb size is generous, perfect for preserving multiple bouquets or larger blooms. It’s easy to use, whether you’re drying flowers for resin, crafts, or keepsakes. The results look natural, not brittle or dull. A dependable, high-quality product for anyone who enjoys floral preservation or DIY projects.

Works amazingly
This is the easiest way I’ve ever dried my flowers. I was so nervous I was going to ruin my beautiful roses. I was so skeptical but after 5 days of being in the silica gel, these roses are perfect! It’s amazing how they hold their shape. The color of course darkens when they dry, but they do not turn brown! They are absolutely beautiful and perfect. Extremely fragile, don’t be heavy handing these. I also dried petals separately and those held their color and shape even better than the full roses. Overall I am beyond happy with this product and the process. Super easy. I was able to do three 4.5”- 5” roses with the 4 lbs. keep in mind it has to cover the flowers entirely and they can’t be touching. Absolutely worth it!

Reliable and Finer than Other Silica
Reliable, small, and soft. I've used this to preserve several bouquets along the process of my sisters wedding events and the powder has gone a long way. One downside is if you decide to pour it into the flower, clean up can be messy and there is a really fine white powder residue that is hard to get rid of without damaging the dried flower. This happened because I decided to preserve entire flower necklaces and even buried flower bracelets in the powder, but the powder is good enough that you can lay the flowers on top or do it the proper way where you discard the stem and just keep the flower part on top of the powder. I use a lot of powder for peace of mind, but the powder actually lasts more than one batch and you do not need to use too much, I do use air tight plastic storage boxes to store the powder so keep that in mind, the powder does not age much if at any (beyond the amount of moisture in the sealed box upon closing) being stored in air tight foam sealed boxes.

Works well, but so do other (cheaper) brands
I have used like maybe 4 different types of silica. (I make dried floral wreaths, so, lots of drying happens in my house.) This is the first one I used and the one I have used the MOST, although I don’t use it anymore unless I’m in a pinch and have to go to Michael’s because I need silica NOW. This one has the finest grains of any other kind (so, GREAT for super delicate flowers), and when it is working it works beautifully. But the color indicator doesnt work very well, compared to other brands. It allegedly turns blue when it has absorbed too much moisture, but I learned the hard way that it doesn’t really change color that much before it like, suddenly and dramatically stops working and then your flowers are totally ruined. Other brands change color much more visibly and stop working slowly, and you only end up with a clumpy ruined mess if you don’t retire it when it’s not drying reliably, anymore: Still, if this brand wasn’t more expensive than so many other comparable brands, I would probably still buy it sometimes (except that its color indicator is blue when good, which is opposite of every other color-activating dessicant I have tried, and I end up mixing silica brands together a lot because I’ll run out halfway through a container of flowers. But overall it’s a really GOOD product, just not significantly better than other substantially cheaper brands.

I can't say anything more.. just that it works really well. Just be careful with delicate flowers as the pedals will fall off if you leave it too long. 7 days is what I did and I probably should have done 5 Good luck all. BTW. This is awesome based on the fact that it's always a 1 to 1 ratio where others are a bit confusing in my mind lol
